ENGIE Innovation Week: 6 days devoted to innovation in the energy sector to meet the challenges of energy transition
For the third year in succession, ENGIE is organizing an Innovation Week, to be held from June 12 to 17, 2017. The agenda consists of around one hundred events in over twenty countries which will highlight start-ups and innovative projects and provide a forum for discussions about innovation in the energy sector. Stay up-to-date with the proceedings on #InnovWeekENGIE.
The theme: a world in “full 3D”
The theme of this year’s Innovation Week is a world in “full 3D”, standing for Decarbonized, Decentralized, Digitalized. These three factors radically transform how energy is produced, stored, distributed and consumed. In order to anticipate new needs experienced by its customers, ENGIE is developing innovative solutions, both global and specific, working with an entire ecosystem of partners (start-ups, incubators, experts, manufacturers).
An ecosystem focused on inventing new businesses
As in the two previous years, ENGIE employees will take centre stage! They are organizing numerous events in around twenty countries intended to highlight innovative projects. The program will include the launch of calls for projects specifically targeting startups, creativity workshops, lectures, innovation breakfasts, etc. ENGIE’s innovation relies heavily on its network of partners and customers, who constitute a complete ecosystem of energy innovation.
One of the key events of the ENGIE Innovation Week will be the presentation of the Innovation Trophies on June 13, at 5.30 pm. These awards recognize the Group’s most promising innovations. A number of projects were submitted this year: of the 670 applications, 52 were nominated for the final stage of the competition.
ENGIE innovations unveiled @ Viva Technology
Alongside the Innovation Week, ENGIE is taking part in the second Viva Technology, which will run from June 15 to 17, 2017, in Paris. ENGIE and its partners were present at the first edition, and they will play a full part in this major event for the world of innovation. They will welcome visitors to the show on a 400 m² stand that will be crowded with novel ideas designed to make their customers’ day-to-day lives easier and help them have a better relationship with their energy supplier.
