VIE: what is it?
The Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) gives ENGIE the opportunity to offer a young man or woman aged 28 or younger a working assignment in another country for a modular period of between 6 and 24 months, with the one-off option to renew that period. This opportunity is available to young European nationals qualified to Masters, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level for VIE PRO.
Designed to energize the process of giving as many young people as possible access to business experience, the VIE scheme can now (since the beginning of the 2013 academic year) be included in the core structure of some vocational Bachelor’s degree programs to give them a more international profile. An initial experimental phase has been launched, involving 4 universities (Marne la Vallée, Le Havre, Cergy-Pontoise and Valenciennes) in a number of key industry sectors, such as logistics, construction, tourism, transportation and retailing.
