The solar solutions proposed to Belgian homeowners by ENGIE Electrabel employ innovative technologies developed by Sungevity which optimize both the design of solar installations and their energy output, resulting in greater savings.
Sungevity International has operated in Europe since 2012 and is responsible for thousands of solar photovoltaic systems installed for homeowners and small businesses. ENGIE recently acquired all its European activities from its owner, Solar Spectrum Holding LLC.
The solar solutions for the residential market proposed by ENGIE Electrabel employ innovative technologies developed by Sungevity which enable customers to optimize the design of their future solar installations, as well as their energy output.
Continuous remote monitoring allows customers to monitor their energy production online.
Sungevity uses satellite imagery and aerial photography to perform a simulation customized for each customer to ensure optimal energy production from photovoltaic panels installed on their roofs. The analysis takes account of the pitch and the orientation of the roof, the presence of obstacles and the number of hours of sunshine and shade and the intensity of the sun, as well as the energy consumption of the household. This makes it possible to provide a forecast not only of electricity production, but also of the potential saving on the customer’s electricity bill. A booking is then made for the solar panels to be installed within eight weeks.
The ENGIE Electrabel offer allows customers to monitor the operation and production of their photovoltaic panels online in real time, easily and free of charge, thanks to “boxx”, a smart thermostat controlled via a mobile app. In addition, Sungevity also monitors the efficiency of all the systems it installs for the proactive prevention of problems.
