Following the acquisition of ACS, which has a 40% market share with more than 5,000 monitored sites in Brazil and 600 customers, ENGIE will provide an offer of integrated power management solutions. This acquisition will also boost its R$1 billion billing target in services.
Biomethane has the same properties as natural gas, but it is a 100% renewable clean energy. To develop the sustainable production of this green gas at a local level, ENGIE has been developing the Gaya project for several years – a platform for producing biomethane from dry biomass (wood, straw, agricultural and food waste, etc.). Inaugurated in October 2017 at Saint-Fons in Chemical Valley, south of Lyon, Gaya is a key milestone in the development of so-called 2G (2nd Generation) biomethane.
ENGIE and IDP Santé have collaborated in the launch of a new system to help accurately measure the dynamism and wellbeing of elderly people in China. The pilot program of this system, called “Smart Flat”, will be introduced on March 5 of this year at the Lidou Community Center, an elderly care facility in Beijing. Lidou will use the system to help care for about 2,000 local people over the age of 65.
