the ENGIE\u2013EDPR joint venture dedicated to offshore wind, reached a major milestone this summer with half of its turbines now installed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            \n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"block_771c9dabd85351e8e5a2e2a567b5f172\" class=\"cp-wysiwyg teq-container nj-aura nj-aura--white\">\n    <div class=\"teq-grid !pt-0\">\n        <div class=\"col-span-6 xl:col-start-2 xl:col-span-10 lg:col-start-1 lg:col-span-12 \">\n                        <div class=\"teq-wysiwyg\">\n                <div data-trad data-trad-html><p>A major step forward: more than a half of the turbines are in place. After completing all 61 monopile foundations in June, along with the inter-array cables, 35 turbines were installed and connected to the network in August. The remainder is scheduled for completion by October. The wind farm, located more than 11 km off \u00cele d\u2019Yeu and 16 km off \u00cele de Noirmoutier, <strong>will generate 488 MW of electricity: enough to power 800,000 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>A productive summer<\/h2>\n<p>Each foundation, measuring 7 meters in diameter and 45\u201368 meters in length depending on site depth, was installed in three steps by the jack-up vessel Innovation: seabed drilling, monopile installation, and placement of the transition piece.<\/p>\n<p>The 61<sup>st<\/sup> and final inter-array cable was successfully laid by the installation vessel Louis Dreyfus Travocean on June 22, 2025, marking the completion of a connection campaign that began in 2024. In total, nearly 90 km of inter-array cables have been deployed.<\/p>\n<p>After tower sections are pre-assembled at the port of Saint-Nazaire, each turbine is installed offshore by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jandenul.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jan De Nul<\/a>\u2019s vessel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nantes.port.fr\/en\/news\/vole-au-vent-returns-estuary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vole au Vent<\/a>. <strong>Under favorable weather conditions, the process takes 24 to 48 hours<\/strong>. The vessel is equipped with a powerful crane that works in three stages: installing the tower, the nacelle, and finally the three blades.<\/p>\n<p>All 61 turbines will produce enough power for 800,000 people\u2014the equivalent of the Vend\u00e9e region\u2019s population. The operations phase will create 85 permanent direct jobs, including 60 for operations and maintenance from the base on \u00cele d\u2019Yeu.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, renewable energy proves it also fuels
