We will never fund political activities, including in countries where these donations are legally allowed.<br \/>\nWe will uphold internationally agreed human rights in all of our relations with public authorities.<\/p>\n<p>All lobbyists acting on behalf of ENGIE undertake to carry out their lobbying activities in compliance with ENGIE&#8217;s fundamental ethical principles set out in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engie.com\/en\/our-commitments\/ethics-compliance-and-privacy\/code-of-conduct-and-policies\/principles-and-actions\/lobbying-and-interest-representatives\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Code of Conduct on Lobbying<\/a> as revised in March 2024. He\/she must appear on a register of lobbyists of the national and international organizations where he\/she carries out lobbying activities and comply with the codes of conduct and regulations of these same organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The Group lobbies on a global scale, with a particular focus on France:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>joining professional associations in the energy sector that help it develop its positions by talking with its peers and<\/li>\n<li>direct lobbying with public officials and administration to influence regulations in the energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Professional Associations<\/h2>\n<p>The Group adheres to the following associations: Abeeolica Brasil American Clean Power Association, AFEP (French Association of Private Enterprises), AFG (French Gas Association), Australian Energy Council, Australian Hydrogen Council Bioenergy Europe, Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI), BusinessEurope, Business for nature, Cedigaz, CEOE, Clean Energy Council Australia, COGEN Europe (European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration), CSFNSE (new energy systems strategic committee), Consumer Goods Forum, Electric Vehicle Council, Energy Efficiency Council Australia, Energy UK, EpE (French association for companies who want to understand the environment), Eurelectric, Eurogas, Euroheat &amp; Power (EHP) European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), European Biogas Association (EBA), European Federation of Intelligent Energy Efficiency Services (EFIEES), European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC), European Round Table (ERT) for Industry, European Solar Thermal Electricity Association (ESTELA), European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, EVOLEN, France Hydrog\u00e8ne, France Industrie, France mobilit\u00e9 gaz, Gas infrastructure Europe (GIE), Global Gas Centre (GGC), Hydrogen Council, Hydrogen Europe, Hydropower Association Brasil (IHA), Instituto Acende Brasil, SolarPower Europe, Syndicat des \u00c9nergies Renouvelables (SER), UFE (French Union of Electricity), UPRIGAZ (Professional Union of Private Gas Industries), WindEurope, World Biogas Association (WBA), World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA).<\/p>\n<p>The total membership amount of these adhesions for ENGIE SA amounts to approximately M\u20ac 3.5 in 2024.<\/p>\n<h2>Lobbying activities<\/h2>\n<p>In Europe, ENGIE&#8217;s lobbying activities are registered in the European Transparency Register (no.: 90947457424-20). The transparency number is quoted in all exchanges\/communications with European institutions. All contributions to European public consultations are made public and mention its transparency number.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings with officials are also made public by the European Commission or members of the European Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally, ENGIE follows the same rules. For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In accordance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) of 1995, ENGIE is registered as a lobbyist with the US Senate and Congress.<\/li>\n<li>The Group operates in Australia, where it also complies with the Lobbying Code of Conduct approved in 2008. ENGIE registers its direct and indirect lobbying activities with the Australian government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In France, ENGIE publishes an annual report on its lobbying activities and registers its lobbying activities carried out during the year in the digital register of the Haute Autorit\u00e9 pour la Transparence de la Vie Publique (HATVP) in accordance with the Sapin 2 law in order to provide transparent information and combat corruption.<\/p>\n<p>The activities at European level for ENGIE SA in 2024, for lobbying, interest representation and professional association, amount to a range from \u20ac2,000,000 to \u20ac2,249,999, according to the classification of the European transparency register.<\/p>\n<p>For the French perimeter, the total amount spent in 2024 by ENGIE SA was in the range of \u20ac2,250,000 to \u20ac2,500,000, as declared to the French HATVP.
