New tab\">commissioned<\/a> the 250 MW Goorambat East Solar Farm, our first large-scale solar development in Australia and currently Victoria\u2019s largest operating solar farm. The project will generate enough clean electricity to power around 105,000 homes annually, with part of its output secured through a 10-year PPA with Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>More than 250 jobs were created during construction, while ENGIE will contribute $75,000 annually to a community benefit fund throughout the project\u2019s lifetime.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"block_12a95e8e27b35f5b0dcbbb47b5dde01b\" class=\"cp-wysiwyg teq-container nj-aura nj-aura--white\">\n    <div class=\"teq-grid \">\n        <div class=\"col-span-6 xl:col-start-2 xl:col-span-10 lg:col-start-1 lg:col-span-12 \">\n                        <div class=\"teq-wysiwyg\">\n                <div data-trad data-trad-html><h3>Pelican Point: battery storage and flexible power Generation<\/h3>\n<p>In South Australia, we are building a 200 MW \/ 400 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at our 489 MW Pelican Point power station. Once operational, the battery will be able to store surplus electricity generated during periods of high renewable output and feed it back into the grid when demand increases.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled to be commissioned in the second half of 2027, the battery will be able to store and dispatch enough energy to power more than 29,400 South Australian homes.<\/p>\n<h3>Yuri: renewable hydrogen production<\/h3>\n<p>The Yuri renewable hydrogen facility in Western Australia is being developed by ENGIE and Mitsui to supply renewable hydrogen to Yara\u2019s ammonia production plant in Karratha.<\/p>\n<p>The first phase includes a 10 MW electrolyzer powered by 18 MW of solar capacity and supported by an 8 MW battery.
