Procurement, sustainable by design! Understanding and quantifying what really matters in the value chain is a key component of the Group\u2019s strategy.<\/p>\n<p>With an addressable spend of 16 billion euros in 2022*, of which 65% in Europe, ENGIE develops and maintains sustainable performance with around 60,000 active suppliers. Ability to catch suppliers\u2019 best products, services and innovations is essential to act as an assembler of solutions and technologies aimed at delivering zero-carbon transition to end customers.<\/p>\n<p>Procurement function manages supplier relations within a system of governance seeking to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>contribute significantly to the Group\u2019s operational performance,<\/li>\n<li>define a model in terms of the creation of synergies in the Group,<\/li>\n<li>be an ambassador for suppliers with respect to the Group\u2019s commitments on Health and Safety and on Environmental and Social Responsibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our main commitments and requirements are defined in the Group&#8217;s procurement policy<\/p>\n<p>(*except energy)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"block_2ca2eaf510d63fbd6b4c21d9b1545506\" class=\"cp-wysiwyg teq-container nj-aura nj-aura--white\">\n    <div class=\"teq-grid \">\n        <div class=\"col-span-6 xl:col-start-2 xl:col-span-10 lg:col-start-1 lg:col-span-12 \">\n                        <div class=\"teq-wysiwyg\">\n                <div data-trad data-trad-html><h2 class=\"text-engie-gradient title-4\"><strong>Our ambition: Engaging with suppliers for a sustainable Business<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Intrinsically procurement function, suppliers and subcontractors are essential stakeholders in the Group value chain.<\/p>\n<p>The ENGIE Group Procurement Department has set the goal of implementing by 2030 CSR initiative covering procurement chain management in all entities controlled by the Group. In 2020, the Group Procurement Department set three CSR goals, which are rolled out throughout its management system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decarbonization of the main suppliers<\/li>\n<li>CSR assessment of suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Share of inclusive purchasing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"text-engie-gradient title-4\">Going forward: a new partnership with a CSR specialist to monitor ENGIE\u2019s suppliers panel<\/h2>\n<p>ENGIE has partnered with EcoVadis to evaluate its Preferred Suppliers in order to monitor and measure the social and environmental performance of its supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>By choosing Ecovadis, ENGIE uses its CSR expertise, online tools which will save time and resources for suppliers on CSR assessments and reporting thanks to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confidential and efficient CSR questionnaire and expert analysis<\/li>\n<li>A CSR Scorecard which can be shared with their other clients as well<\/li>\n<li>Tools for benchmarking and improving CSR practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ENGIE sets targets for preferential &amp; major suppliers, in particular on the onboarding rate and their assessment above a score of 45\/100 \u201cmanaged CSR risk\u201d level.<\/p>\n<p>EcoVadis has developed a methodology for assessing company CSR engagement against 21 CSR criteria covering Environment, Labor &amp; Human rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-engie-gradient title-4\">The Procurement approach in the Vigilance Plan<\/h2>\n<p>The Procurement approach is an integral part of ENGIE&#8217;s Vigilance Plan.
