The purpose brings together the company, its employees, its clients and its shareholders, and reconciles economic performance with a positive impact on people and the planet. ENGIE’s actions are assessed in their entirety and over time.

Our purpose
The definition of our purpose statement marks a new phase in the history of the company and will now make it possible to rally all of our employees and our stakeholders around a shared aim.
Co-created on the basis of a robust consultative process with the Group’s employees, clients, investors and representatives of civil society (NGOs, think tanks, development banks and national and local elected representatives), it gives expression to the Group’s commitment held for many years to tackling the energy and climate challenges facing the world today.
Shareholders voted to include this purpose statement in our bylaws at the General Meeting of Shareholders held on May 14, 2020.
