Contexte:
L’équipe Global Market Analysis (GMA), est responsable de l’analyse des marchés de l’Energie (Electricité, Gaz et pétrole), au sein de l’entité GEMS (Global Energy Management & Sales) d’Engie. Nous supportons les activités de trading et de la gestion du portefeuille. Intervenant en tant qu’experte, l’équipe GMA est composée de profils pluridisciplinaires alliant une compréhension approfondie des marchés de l’Energie à d’importantes capacités d’analyse quantitative.
En vue de la transition énergétique les marchés d’électricité à court terme jouent un rôle crucial dans le maintien de l’équilibre de la production et de la consommation au sein du réseau électrique. Il y a un nombre important de marchés différents qui sont interdépendants et de plus en plus intégrés au niveau européen. Les acteurs de marché sont principalement les gestionnaires de la production et de la consommation intermittente, ainsi que des moyens de production flexibles.
L’objectif de chaque acteur de marché est de maximiser son revenu ou de minimiser ses coûts tout en gérant au mieux ses risques individuels. Pour ce faire il a besoin d’une vue de marché automatisée qui est adaptée à chaque cas d’utilisation et qui se base sur une analyse intelligente de données bien sélectionnées.

Role:
« L’équipe des analystes et les gestionnaires de portefeuille « court terme » est à la recherche d’un VIE à Bruxelles qui en développant des nouvelles méthodologies et outils d’analyse de marché soutiendra les activités de trading en Belgique, France, Allemagne et au Pays-Bas.

L’objectif étant de développer et mettre à jour le suivi des dynamiques des marchés intraday :
- En rendant accessible, visualisable et interprétable l’ensemble complexe de données nécessaires aux prises de décisions par les traders - en particulier sur les achats et vente d’énergie associée aux actifs renouvelables gérés par GEMS dans les 4 pays cités.
- En participant à l’automatisation de certaines stratégies de trading selon des signaux de marché bien calibrés (heuristiques ou machine learning)
-En menant et exécutant des analyses ad hoc :
o selon les demandes des traders - i.e. de compréhension de dynamiques de marché ou d’identification de nouvelles opportunités
o selon notre propre initiative afin d’interpréter l’évolution continue des marchés intraday, que ce soit des fondamentaux (fluctuations de l’offre – renouvelables et assets thermique – et de la demande demande), de nouvelles réglementations, ou de l’accessibilité de nouvelles données en temps réel. »

Role:

GEMS APAC is looking for an IT APPLICATION SUPPORT Officer, to improve the reliability of the existing systems, and support the development of the new systems. The role is based in Singapore. It requires many interactions with the teams in Europe. Business trips to Europe may be required from time to time

As a member of the IT team in Singapore, the IT application support officer is also expected to contribute to the cohesion of the IT team.

Missions:

1. Production monitoring
o Monitor the global IT platform and execute the associated action when alerts are raised.
o Process (analyze, solve, document) incidents.
o Coordinate incidents resolution with Paris teams when necessary (for instance with infrastructure teams or on-duty people)
o Maintain monitoring systems and continuously share ideas to improve its effectiveness.
o Actively participate in the writing or enhancement of operational procedures (in link with the monitoring alerts)
o Engage in FTS (Follow-the-Sun) model with Europe, including information sharing and tasks handover
o Follow up on the evolution of the IT platform (release) and adapt monitoring tools and procedures

Rattaché(e) à la Direction Eau et basé(e) sur site (Lobs Hole) au sein de l’équipe résidente DJV « Resident Design Team » du Projet Snowy 2.0, dans le cadre des travaux d’excavation en cours de l’usine hydroélectrique souterraine de turbinage pompage de 2200 MW, la mission consiste essentiellement en un appui sur l’ensemble des missions de l’équipe résidente DJV, notamment un focus sur l’auscultation et l’application de la méthode observationnelle.

Les activités seront pilotées par les représentants du Design sur site et incluront notamment
- Participation à l’élaboration d’un outil de suivi de l’auscultation pour la PSC, s’assurer de la bonne application du design (installation des sections de monitoring à temps, fréquence des mesures)
- Analyses des données d’auscultation essentielles à l’application de la méthode observationnelle dans les cavernes
- Visites d’inspection régulières du site, en se focalisant sur les inspections des sections de monitoring
- Participation à la rédaction et l’émission des livrables d’analyse relatifs à la méthode observationnelle
- Participation aux réunions GMM, PTT
- Participation et consolidation, autant que de besoin, à la tenue des registres (document de suivi des paramètres géotechniques, suivi des correspondances, …)

Within the GEMS Business Unit, the Australia and New Zealand Business Platform (BP ANZ) are managing and developing the group’s trading activities for these regions around 4 main pillars: risk management and market access, asset management, green solutions and energy supply businesses.

The missions of the BP ANZ are:
- Support the development and the operations of the other GBUs (Global Business Units) in all aspects related to risk representation and risk management
- Develop a commercial franchise which contributes to the overall risk management of the portfolio and generates value

The GEMS ANZ Analytics team develops market insights and quantitative models. These are used to optimise dispatchable assets, forecast customer consumptions, risk manage positions, assess long term prices, value hedging product and shape strategy.

The purpose of this role is to provide subject matter expertise for quantitative commodity trading models built by the Analytics team. The analysis and insights generated will lead to improved decision making across the rest of GEMS ANZ and the wider ANZ business.

Role:
The incumbent is responsible and accountable for the following key responsibilities: activities which can align to evolve with the business’ requirements.

• Develop quantitative financial models to value energy derivatives (Power, Green, Gas)
• Engage with the Forward Trading and Commercial teams to develop and operate models and tools to support trading decisions
• Work together with Head of Analytics or Head of Forward Power Trading on complex, ill-defined tasks with minimal assistance from Manager (i.e. gather requirements, come up with design, implement and test)
• Ensure that the analytical work is complete to a high standard and on time, while regularly communicating the status of the project
• Provide thought leadership and creativity in developing innovative solutions to new problems, together with the Head of Analytics and Principal Analyst Quantitative Modelling
• Proactively suggest new possibilities for analytics/projects to the Head of Analytics and Head of Forward Power Trading

Context:

The Quantitative Research and Modelling Expertise Center (QRM EC) is responsible for providing advanced quantitative expertise, models and tools to all Business Platform (BP) in GEM, in fields ranging from mathematical finance, optimization, data science and statistics.
The QRM team supports the trading and portfolio management activities of the GEM BPs. In particular, we support the Short Term Power Business Platform (SpaaS BP) with optimization models, bidding algorithms, and decision tools in order to maximize the value of the GEM asset portfolio within the Central West Europe short term power markets.

The QRM team is looking for a VIE in Brussels whose mission is to support the development of the optimization models used in the short term power desks. These tools are key to optimize the dispatch of the power plants and to maximize their values from the power market.
The VIE will be based on Brussels where he will work in the QRM team for the SpaaS BP.
