• Talent Acquisition Strategy: Partner with the HR Business Partner and business leaders to develop effective recruitment strategies aligned with business objectives and GEMS values.

• Sourcing and Networking: Utilize various channels, such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals, to identify and engage with potential candidates.

• Screening and Selection: Conduct thorough candidate assessments and interviews, to identify the best fit for specific roles. As Talent Acquisition Specialist you are responsible for the full recruitment cycle from interview to offer.

What You Can Expect

As our Power Settlements Analyst II, you will be part of the Mid-Office Settlements team, which is responsible for estimating, reconciling, and explaining the revenue and cost of goods sold for the retail business. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments, including Portfolio Management, Forecasting, Operations, Finance, and Accounting. Additionally, you will be involved with supporting Mid-Office activities across several regions, including the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), Pennsylvania, Jersey, Maryland Power Pool (PJM), Independent System Operator New England (ISO-NE), New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), and Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO). Your responsibilities will include month-end estimation of volume, revenue, and hedge P&L; reconciling estimates to actuals; and providing explanations for gross margin results and variances to management. This role sits in Houston, TX and reports to the Director, Settlements.

 

 

  • Reconcile ISO settlement costs to customer invoiced revenues in retail market, ensuring accurate reporting of margins
  • Populate pass-through billing curves to collect all pass-through costs
  • Prepare monthly revenue and cost variance analyses (Estimates & Actuals), participate in monthly close activities, and provide analysis for prior period adjustments and other reconciliations as required

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of retail or wholesale power experience
  • You are proficient in ISO and wholesale trade settlements, with expertise in retail electricity markets
  • You have advanced quantitative, data analysis, and modeling skills
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS SQL, and Oracle SQL
  • You have familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • You possess strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,400 – $87,150 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As a Real Time Optimization I, you will support the delivery of financial results of the region versus budget within the values and ethics of the company. You will support the implementation of real-time dispatch strategies for optimizing a portfolio of ENGIE and third party owned generation assets.

 

  • Responsible for implementation of asset dispatch strategies for optimizing ENGIE’s portfolio of generating assets
  • Responsible for submission of bids and offers into Independent System Operator’s (ISO’s) systems, ensuring timeliness and correctness
  • Maintain a continuous operation picture of fleet performance, position, and risks
  • Act as primary communication point between plants, Independent System Operators (ISOs), Transmission Operators (TOs), asset managers
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-the minute status and for keeping documentation of important information (unit availability, generation level, dispatch base points, generation cost, fuel inventory, market prices, etc.)
  • Understands and conveys important pass down information at each shift-change
  • Communicate relevant information to stakeholders as appropriate in a timely manner
  • Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE Energy Marketing North America staff
  • Comply with all ENGIE North America policies and procedures
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in business, finance, economics, engineering or equivalent combination of technical training

Contexte:

Au croisement du centre d’expertise Global Market Analysis (GMA), de la business platform Gas Supply & Trading (GST) et de la business platform LNG, notre équipe se compose d’analystes du marché du gaz (Europe et GNL) et de data scientists. En interaction constante avec nos collègues météorologues et analystes des marchés de l’électricité, nous travaillons en salle de marché et aidons les traders à optimiser la valeur des actifs du groupe tout en assurant que nos clients soient livrés en toutes circonstances.

 

A travers le gaz, nous contribuons également à la stabilité du système électrique et à garantir la sécurité d’approvisionnement énergétique dans son ensemble. Aujourd’hui majoritairement fossile, le gaz est amené à devenir de plus en plus décarboné et participer de manière essentielle à la transition énergétique. Les bouleversements en cours dans le secteur à la suite de la crise énergétique et aux enjeux de la transition, mettent plus que jamais nos activités d’analyse de marché au cœur des problématiques du groupe.

 

Nous recherchons un(e) stagiaire pour contribuer à pérenniser et scénariser  un modèle de forecasting de l’équilibre offre-mondial du marché mondial du GNL. Ce modèle est central dans l’activité de l’équipe. Vous serez amené(e) à plonger en profondeur dans le fonctionnement et la data du marché mondial du GNL, extrêmement divers et dynamique, tout en approfondissant vos compétences en programmation Python. Ce stage est aussi l’occasion pour vous de vivre la situation énergétique actuelle sans précédent au cœur d’une des principales salles de marché européennes.

 

Démarrage souhaité : Quatrième trimestre 2024 pour 6 mois

 

Rôle:

 

  • Moderniser et fiabiliser un modèle d’équilibre offre-demande du marché mondial du GNL
  • Proposer et implémenter le cas échéant des améliorations de modélisation
  • Automatiser, fiabiliser et tester les flux de données
  • Contribuer à formuler des recommandations d’action pour le trading

  • Maintain and update user lists, vendor contracts, and purchase orders using COUPA for marketing and subscription services, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold at least an Associate degree in Business Administration or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience with a minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting executive level  handling administrative duties, and coordinating travel and event logistics
  • You have experience in reviewing contracts, working with vendors, and coordinating with Legal support
  • You are proficient in collaboratively developing and implementing administrative workflows and processes
  • You possess excellent oral and written communication skills and can present ideas professionally
  • You are capable of maintaining forward progress on multiple work streams and adapting to changing priorities
  • You have working knowledge of Coupa, Concur, and Microsoft 365, and can think analytically and work effectively in project teams

Compensation

Salary Range: $53,900– $76,125 USD annually

About the role

 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant and Office Manager to support our senior leadership team and ensure the smooth operation of our office

The Executive Assistant and Office Manager will be based in London,  this is a 12 month fixed term contract working full time Monday to Friday working a minimum 2 days from the office

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Personal Assistant  to  the UK Country Manager/Member of the Excom Committee and the Managing Director of FlexGen UK .
  • To assure an efficient operation of the ENGIE office located in London (Salisbury House), acting as main point of coordination between different internal services and external service providers, supporting the design and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • To support the Business Platform UK (BP UK) within BU GEM to function smoothly by providing supporting the wider management team.
  • Coordination of the Executive monthly meetings, setting agendas and uploading papers to SharePoint.
  • Supporting and coordinating offsite strategic quarterly meetings alongside the Programme Manager.

What You Can Expect

As a Power Congestion Analyst II, you will report to Director Congestion Trading and provide quantitative and fundamental analytics for US electricity markets to improve grid modeling and congestion portfolio optimization. Every day, you will perform cost modeling by using DAYZER to forecast nodal electricity price components and analyze weather patterns and fuel prices to predict the base electricity prices. You will also ren optimization models to forecast congestion and determine congestion drivers and research data using relevant databases and statistical tools. You will select nodes to trade based on forecasted congestion pattern, and enter bide curves.

 

  • MISO/SPP Independent System Operator (ISO) congestion analysis
  • Act as the central resource on the firm regarding regional ISO information, working with various groups in the organization
  • Execute production cost models (Dayzer) by systematically analyzing and updating the inputs as appropriate
  • Develop and execute appropriate scenario studies pertinent to the period of study and systematically analyzing the results
  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to form fundamental views with respect to congestion trading
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and mirco-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits)
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Assist asset managers with ad-hoc fundamental analyses
  • Participate in ISO meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve trade tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed courses in Engineering/Business/Finance or relevant disciplines
  • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in congestion markets analysis, power plant economics, price forecasting, trading, or a related discipline
  • Experience in Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), Southwest Power Pool (SPP) ISO congestion markets
  • Experience in power markets analysis, power plant economics, price forecasting, trading, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of Financial Transmission Rights (FTRs) market, Day – Ahead & Real – Time markets & Entergy Transmission system
  • Understanding of powerflow shift factors, line-outage distribution factors and contingency analysis concepts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques
