  • Manage the P&L for ENGIE’s matrix portfolio
  • Monitor Broker feedback and supplier matrix rankings with particular focus on the matrix pricing. Propose and help set margin adjustments to matrix pricing

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar discipline
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Retail Energy Sales, Marketing, Supply, or Structuring, including at least three (3) years of proven sales leadership managing direct and/or indirect sales teams within the energy commodities sector

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of budget export margins on an individual basis within the Power Purchase team; sign New Business and renew existing business.

  • Business Development – Establish contact and build relationship with potential new business partners including banks, financiers, consultants, lawyers or direct customers.
  • Account Management - maintain and develop relationships with existing customers. Organise and attend events and meetings.

Under the supervision of the Risk Control Manager at ENGIE Energy Marketing N.A. (EEMNA), you will support the preparation and communication of EEMNA’s commodity positions, profit and loss (P&L) reporting, and key market risk metrics. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, verifying, and explaining daily official metrics such as P&L, Value at Risk (VaR), drawdowns, stress tests, and Greek limits. What You’ll Bring

  • This is an entry-level position, and prior experience is not required. You will be expected to deliver high-quality support on projects related to data analysis, reporting, and operational process improvement, while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment

What You Can Expect

As a Processes and Projects Senior Analyst, you will report directly to the Director of Trading Processes and Projects, within ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA). You will assist in operational process improvement and support the implementation and execution of special projects for the EEMNA organization. This role provides an opportunity to understand the inner workings of a large trading organization, ie. its main transactions, workflows and functions. You will assist in developing and prioritizing strategic and tactical plans and projects, and support the execution of these projects to enhance the internal functioning of the Business Unit.

• Identify opportunities for operational improvement initiatives and help develop plans to drive organizational change to achieve reduced internal friction, improved reliability, efficiency, and error-resistance of current processes

• Design, implement and monitor workflows for the lifecycle management of complex financial and physical transactions (PPAs, tolling agreements, gas supply agreements…)

• Assist in coordinating cross-functional initiatives within the Business Unit and between SEM and other ENGIE Business Units.

• Utilize data for informed decision-making and help monitor and assess the effectiveness of operational improvements, identifying areas for further optimization

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by supporting coaching and training efforts for employees at various levels

• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain and Operations Management, etc.)

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working in operations, business transformation, operational improvement, project management, and/or special projects

• A proactive and creative mindset to address problems and find solutions

•The willingness and ability to function anywhere in the spectrum between the highly conceptual and the routine.

• Basic understanding of wholesale power and gas markets and of the workflows associated with gas and power transactions would be a plus.

• Solution-oriented with the ability to assist in resolving conflicts.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.

• Experience working across different teams (such as Origination, Business Development, Trading, IT, HR, Finance and Accounting, and Legal).

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•  Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and synthesize information for decision-making.

• Open-minded, willingness to learn, with the ability to adapt to different working styles and personalities.

•  Programming and data visualization skills (PowerBI…) would be a plus.

What You Can Expect

As a Market/Middle-Office Advisor, you will report to ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA) Risk Director and you will be responsible for supporting daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) reporting, P&L (Profit & Loss) validation, risk monitoring including stress test for the US B2B Supply business activity. You will ensure consistent and accurate publication of the Daily P&L and compliance with the different risk limits and metrics. You will also consists of managing the book structure across multiple legal entities’ transactions and maintains strict adherence to risk mandates. By estimating and modeling various market inputs, validating forward/settlement curves, and creating data-driven reports, the position is crucial in supporting the overall financial performance and risk management of the Supply business activity. Additionally, you will contribute to improving the Middle-Office and Market Risk processes specific to the Supply  business, enhancing reporting capabilities through tools like Power BI.

  • Daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) Reporting and Validation

o     Oversee the computation and validation of daily MtM values for all books and products

o   Translate the current MtM computation of the Supply load book to the EEMNA ETRM system where wholesale positions are stored, aiming to reduce extensive manual adjustments, and improving auditability and transparency

o      Validate daily P&L results and provide clear explanations by KPI to the different portfolio managers, investigate and resolve any discrepancies

o      Ensure timely distribution and accuracy of MtM figures to key stakeholders

  • Risk & Performance Reporting

o      Develop KRIs (wholesale and retail related) and dashboards using tools like Microsoft Power BI to enhance visibility into operational and financial performance

o      Enforce risk mandates, monitoring limit usage and escalating breaches when necessary  

  • Book Structure Management (Multi-Legal Entity)

o      Oversee and manage book structures across various legal entities within Supply , ensuring meticulous capture and accurate valuation of all trades

o      Collaborate with the Front Office, Back Office, and accounting teams to keep book hierarchies aligned with organizational requirements

  • Forward and Settlement Curves Validation (Price Control)

o      Validate and benchmark cost curves used by Supply, ensuring consistency with market data

o      Oversee exotic and non-market observable parameter inputs swithin the costing model

  • Process Automation & Reporting Improvements

o      Lead initiatives to automate processes, improving the accuracy and efficiency of data capture and reporting

o      Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain Power BI reports, ensuring user-friendly interfaces and reliable data sources

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

o      Partner with Front Office, Credit, and Operational Risk teams to manage exceptions and align valuation methodologies as much as possible with other ENGIE entities

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in Market finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Market Risk/Middle-Office environment within the energy or commodities sector (Gas and Power)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing MtM reporting, profit and loss analysis, and risk metrics (e.g., V@R, stress testing).
  • Past experience with retail electricity providers preferred
  • Proficient in ETRM systems (e.g., FIS Aligne, Alegro, etc.) and advanced Excel
  • Proficient with Power BI for reporting and data visualization, including SQL, Python
  • Strong understanding of forward curve validation, price control processes, and exotic parameter management (shape factors, scalars)
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with Front Office, Back Office, IT, and senior management
  • Highly organized, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
