Our corporate sales team is growing!  Excellent opportunity for a B2B Sales Consultant – Customer Acquisition to join our Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) ANZ business to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy by managing allocated new business opportunities.

 

As a B2B Sales Consultant you will collaborate primarily with external Third Party Intermediaries (TPI), i.e. energy brokers, to successfully acquire new business through review and response to offers.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Optimise the sales pipeline for effectiveness and sales performance
  • Support team business development objectives
  • Manage allocated leads to achieve customer acquisition targets
  • Prepare reporting as required and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintaining sustainable working relationships with TPI’s and brokers

The opportunity:

To support our renewable pipeline and low carbon generation portfolio, ENGIE ANZ is committed to facilitating the growth of battery storage capacity and operates several successful projects, such as the Hazelwood Battery Energy Storage System (HBESS), the first to be built at the site of a former coal fired power station. Our industrial-scale BESS will help create a more reliable, flexible energy system delivering critical stability to a grid increasingly comprised of intermittent renewable sources.

 

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead the charge in managing the entire lifecycle of BESS development, from origination to financial close. The successful applicant will join the existing Business Development team, currently developing more than 1GW of BESS capacity across Australia and will specifically focus on late-stage development activities. 

 

The role will be accountable to the General Manager Business Development and the role can be worked flexibly between home and our new Southbank office.  Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Being accountable for the progress and status of project development(s) in the portfolio
  • Applying sound project management expertise to ensure schedules, budget and risk are documented and controlled appropriately
  • Managing internal and external resources (including consultants) to support development
  • Negotiating and securing land tenure agreements and management of landowner and stakeholder relationships
  • Leading planning processes to secure necessary statutory project approvals
  • Managing procurement processes in collaboration with ENGIE’s general procurement departments and managers
  • Ownership of the project Assumptions Book that describes the project parameters as they input into the Project Financial Model

 

 About you:

The successful incumbent will have solid experience in the development of renewable power generation assets, including BESS assets.  You will have sound influencing and effective communication skills and can balance multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes.  You have gained excellent project management skills, preferably in a matrix management environment and can steer change and work within a changing environment.

The position of Senior Portfolio Optimiser will play a pivotal role in providing strategic advice and analysis of the ENGIE business units with respect to risk management, hedging and energy supply, with an initial focus on the thermal generation assets (gas/diesel power stations) as well as our retail gas portfolio.

 

The role works closely with analytics and energy traders calibrating and validating key model assumptions for critical trading positions.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the assets’ expected revenue, production, and associated risks and modelled appropriately, including working with IT and analytics team (who build the models) to improve the models and make sure they are regularly updated.
  • Defining the needs of different stakeholders of the models and ensure these needs are met by the models
  • Work with the BUs to help them understand model outputs and what this means in terms of risks and implications
  • Propose hedge strategies to the BUs which fit within their risk mandates, and are realistic in terms of execution in the market
  • Monitor and track execution of the strategies, and present regular updates to the BUs via the Hedge Committee meetings (run by our team and involving senior management of all the GUs)

 About you:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Deep knowledge of energy markets and trading
  • Experience appraising risk and financial models and scoping model creation
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating complex commercial projects

The Role:

We’re seeking an experience Owners Site Representative to be based on-site at the Goorambat East Solar Farm to support the Project Manager in the delivery of the project by representing ENGIE’s interests on the site and monitoring the construction of all EPC and connection works.

 

The incumbent will be accountable to the Project Manager and will ideally be based at the project site near Benalla, 2 hours from Melbourne.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and monitoring all construction activities for compliance with contractual conditions and relevant regulations and providing status updates to the Project Manager as required
  • Coordination of onsite activities between EPC contractor and connection works contractor to ensure that each contractor’s activities are planned in a way that minimises the impact on the other contractors
  • Overseeing and monitoring the EPC contractor’s implementation of all health, safety and environmental management obligations and systems on the site
  • Assist the Owner’s Engineering in reviewing and monitoring the quality of works delivered by the contractors, ensuring quality requirements are satisfied and any defects/non-conformances are properly captured with corrective actions properly tracked until resolution
  • Responsible for ensuring ENGIE / project owner is fully compliant with all contractual obligations
  • Manage and report progress against the project schedule
  • Represent ENGIE, establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all external stakeholders including the local community, landowners, regulatory bodies
  • Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate.  Proactively develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these
  • Review and endorse final punch lists for each work package. 

 

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have experience with onsite construction management of renewable energy infrastructure projects, particularly solar.  You have gained sound project and contract management experience for construction projects and able to work under pressure to meet scheduled and demanding timelines.

The opportunity:

Excellent opportunity for a Project Controller to work with the Project Manager delivering the Goorambat East Solar Farm. The role is based at Freshwater Place, Southbank, with occasional site visits required.

 

You will support project delivery to ensure the work is delivered to schedule and budget and includes activities from the lead-up to financial close to the commencement of operations (project handover from development, delivery kick-off, design review, construction, testing and commissioning and handover to operation). 

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Project Manager in management of project schedule as required including coordinating and integrating project schedule updates on a monthly basis
  • Cost control and reporting of expenditure throughout the project, including forecasting and analysis on cost variances
  • Administering and monitoring EPC payment claims and variations as directed by the Project Manager and PMO Lead
  • Manage and coordinate all project reporting
  • Monitoring quality targets, standards, assurance and control procedures relating to document and record control (electronic and hardcopy)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all project financial/budget matters
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships and ensure effective communications with a diverse set of internal stakeholders

The Role:

 

We’re seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety Officer to support the delivery of the Goorambat Solar Farm by ensuring the project is constructed in a safe and compliant manner.  The role will be responsible for the daily supervision / oversight of the EPC contractor activities to ensure works are conducted in accordance with approved safety management systems and plans.

 

The incumbent will be accountable to the Head of Operations & HSE and will be based at the project site in Benalla, Victoria.  This is about 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne. 

 

This is a full time role and will be available until the Goorambat Solar Farm is constructed and commissioned.  It is anticipated this will be approximately 2 years.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and administer ENGIE's health and safety management systems at the project site, development of ENGIE's health and safety management systems and tools and verifying contractors compliance of work against approved systems of work.
  • Communication of ENGIE’s expectations in relation to safe work practices and behaviours.
  • Daily supervision of contractor’s activities to ensure works being conducted safely.
  • Propose and implement safety initiatives within the work site that promotes a positive safety culture considering feedback from all stakeholders.
  • Management of contractor compliance against ENGIE lifesaving rules and One ENGIE Safety program
  • Review and audit contractor safety systems and documentation
  • Attend and actively participate in risk workshops, toolbox, simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and daily pre-start meetings
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key health and safety strategies, issues and risks.
  • Participate in and conduct incident investigations and critically review contractor’s incident investigation reports.
  • Prepare monthly H&S report including reporting against H&S performance indicators
  • Review contractor SWMS and site specific HSE Management Plan

 

 

About You:

 

To be successful in this role, you will have experience with the application of HSE management plans and HSE management systems for construction sites and have managed contractors to meet and/or exceed safety requirements.  You will have knowledge and understanding of the requirements of a principal contractor and the asset owner’s HSE responsibilities and have the ability to instil a safety first mindset to others.

You must have qualifications in WHS (Cert IV), be first aid trained and either have or be willing to attain a construction white card.
