The Role
You will create and implement collaborative hedging and pricing strategies for our energy portfolio, working with Global Business Units to develop approaches that align with risk tolerance and revenue goals. Additionally, you will ensure accuracy by reviewing profit and loss statements and risk assessments. Foster relationships with B2B and B2C teams to enhance portfolio profitability through improved strategies. You will also cultivate partnerships with Trading and Origination teams to execute hedging strategies using reliable processes. Aid B2B teams during the offering process with detailed pricing calculations. Furthermore, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of portfolio management tools for our collective success and offer insights for asset modeling risk evaluations while assessing related uncertainties. Promote collaboration with commercial partners to structure and price both standard and non-standard offers.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a similar discipline
- Experience in Asset Risk Representation, Hedging, or Trading and a deep understanding of the intricacies of the Australian Power, Gas, and Carbon markets.
- Strong aptitude for tackling complex challenges through analytical thinking and quantitative analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and modelling
- Collaborative spirit with effective communication skills across various business units
- Keen eye for detail with outstanding documentation and reporting abilities and a passion for innovation and making a positive social impact
