Supply Portfolio Manager

Posting date : 02/04/2025

Requisition ID : 45104

Supply Portfolio Manager

About Us:

About ENGIE

ENGIE’s purpose is to act to accelerate the transition towards a carbon-neutral world, reconciling economic performance with a positive impact on people and the planet. With more than 100,000 employees worldwide, our Group relies on 4 Global Business Units (Renewable and Flexible Power, Networks, Local Energy Infrastructures and Supply & Energy Management) to offer competitive low-carbon solutions to our customers.

About Supply & Energy Management (S&EM)

With 15,000 employees and a global footprint, ENGIE S&EM delivers yearly 450TWh of low carbon energy to 200,000 B2B and over 20 million B2C customers. S&EM is also #1 player in Green Corporate PPAs, with a global portfolio of 14GW (+4.3GW in 2024). Going forward, S&EM ambitions to take a leading role in the nascent 24/7 carbon free energy market, leveraging ENGIE extensive renewables and flexible asset base (102 GW installed capacity), and S&EM unmatched energy management platform and client’s franchise.

About S&EM Iberia

Supply & Energy Management Iberia (“S&EM Iberia”) is a local Business Platform (BP) of ENGIE S&EM Global Business Unit. The Business Platform is active across Energy Management (Asset Optimization and Trading) and Client’s businesses (Wholesale and B2B), with presence in Spain (mature footprint) and Portugal (under development). The entity is composed of 90 highly skilled energy professionals from 12 nationalities, with a solid expertise in Iberian power and gas markets. In 2024, S&EM Iberia provided integrated Energy Management services (short to long term) for ENGIE’s 7.7GW renewables and low-carbon generation asset base in the region (hydro, wind, solar, CCGTs).

About the team (SPM, Supply Portfolio Management):

The Supply Portfolio Management (SPM) team plays a key role in managing the Supply in Spain, covering a wide range of activities and closely collaborating with other areas within the organization. We are currently in full expansion, with an ambitious strategic project to boost the growth and robustness of the supply activity. This involves expanding the team, optimizing systems, and attracting new clients.

The main responsibilities of the team include:

  • Contract and portfolio management and representation, in collaboration with Legal to ensure their solidity and regulatory compliance.
  • P&L tracking, working alongside Finance to optimize financial control and business profitability.
  • Exposure risk management, optimizing positions and hedges through constant interaction with Trading.
  • Coordination with Back Office (billing), ensuring the correct operational execution of contracts.

What We Are Looking For

An ambitious “acceleration plan” has been defined for the B2B Supply activity in Iberia. This plan aligns with S&EM’s ambition to grow its Supply business (B2B + B2C) to 300 TWh of energy sales by 2030 (+40% vs. 2024).

In this context, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role and the ability to take on the responsibilities outlined above. A versatile and adaptable professional who thrives in a constantly evolving environment. Someone eager to be part of a dynamic and expanding team and ready to take on a role with significant opportunities for development and professional growth.

As we are undergoing a digital transformation and adopting a data-driven approach, we need a candidate with strong data skills, capable of analyzing information and extracting insights to support decision-making.

The key skills and competencies we expect you to bring include:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or similar.
  • Experience in the energy supply business (“Comercializadora”).
  • Knowledge of energy markets, pricing mechanisms, and risk management, with a strong focus on the electricity market (knowledge of gas is also desirable).

  • Teamwork and a humble attitude, willing to collaborate and add value, prioritizing the team’s interests over individual ones.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and positively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.

If you meet these requirements, then you are the talent we are looking for. Do not waste time! Apply by attaching your updated CV, regardless of your gender.
