ENGIE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Intern to join our Supply & Energy Management credit team. The internship work term will be from June 2025 to August 2025, full-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.

 

As a Credit Intern, you will support the commercial credit team in the management of credit risk mitigation through various reporting and analytical duties and projects, including, but not limited to support of Financial Statement analysis, Retail Credit Approvals and Daily Margining Requirement reporting process. 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or any related field
  • You possess a 3.0 GPA or higher & be able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You are able to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a weekly basis;
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $22.50 -$33.50 USD hourly

What You Can Expect

As our EHS Intern, at ENGIE’s Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP), you will be performing support work for the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) that includes development of procedures, assistance with projects and other tasks to assist the EHS Manager while using your exposure to MATEP to enhance your education in the EHS, facilities and power generation field. The internship work term will be June 2, 2025 – August 22, 2025The EHS Intern reports to the EHS Manager.

 

You will:

 

  • Work internally in the physical plant and externally on the facility’s grounds or at satellite facilities; you may be required to work overtime - relief, off-shift, and emergency coverage (nights, weekends,) and/or other, as needed

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety at an accepted four-year university
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • You will perform other related duties as required 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
  • You can work at least forty (40) hours of consistently-scheduled availability within standard working hours (7:30am – 4pm) in Eastern Standard time, Monday – Friday. Exact hours are negotiable
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consists of 25% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment and clothing where appropriate because of their work around potential hazards such as loud noise, airborne particles, vibration and hazardous materials.  Including but is not limited to, safety eyewear, footwear, hard hat, gloves, hearing protection, specialized clothing and a company issued uniform 
  • May require repetitive stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, and carrying, intermittent lifting

 

Compensation

Hourly Range: $24.50 - $25.50 USD hourly

What You Can Expect

As our Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist Intern, you will support on financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting for ENGIE North America's expanding portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the Global Business Unit (GBU) Asset Management, Operations, Partnership teams to gain a deep understanding of operational profitability drivers, risks, and liquidity management. In this role, you will be a member of ENGIE’s finance team supporting accurate monthly and quarterly results for Management, Partnership, and Group reporting. You will participate in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly business reviews for GBU Management and ENGIE Group Corporate reporting highlighting the business's performance and evolution based on operational and project-specific drivers. Your tracking of key financial indicators will provide early warnings to Management and actionable information carrying the GBU strategy forward. This position, based in Houston, TX, reports to the RGBU Director of FP&A.

 

 

  • Participation in the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE and partners guidelines
  • Ensure that the GBU's budget and MTP data is correctly and promptly entered into reporting systems from our Operational SAC Budget tool to our consolidated reports
  • Participation to produce timely and accurate closing reporting, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components by portfolio (ENGIE and Partners). IT tools (ERP SAP, SAC) will support your analysis
  • Partner with accounting and IT departments to ensure reporting accuracy including but not limited to data mapping and creating new reporting structures
  • Support senior management with ad hoc performance reporting and analysis

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be a Junior or Senior (by end of Spring 2025 semester) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for the energy industry and a genuine interest in contributing to the energy transition

As our Cash Application Analyst Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Cash Application team with the processing and reconciliation of incoming payments. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in financial operations, offering exposure to real-world cash application processes within a fast-paced corporate environment.   • Gain hands-on experience by applying incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Develop analytical skills while investigating and resolving discrepancies in payments or customer account records
  • Assist with daily financial operations by reconciling bank transactions and identifying payment exceptions
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to support and improve cash application processes, gaining exposure to cross-functional workflows
