Internship Purpose:

The intern will support the Health, Safety, and Environment Manager on his daily tasks  in maintaining and improving safety and environmental compliance within the organization. This internship position involves assisting with implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Reporting on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance indicators: follow-up with sites, data collection, analysis and follow-up using ENGIE, OMEGA and SYGMA tools.                                      

2. Management of information feedback and incident analysis.                            

3. Deployment of the “One Safety/On Team” tool to the Casablanca teams.                                         

4. HSE regulatory watch for Morocco and Senegal.                                     

5. Updating of Safety Management System documents: instructions, operating modes, procedures, etc.                                    

6. Optimize HSE communication (visual, digital and analog) throughout the geographical area and contribute to the development of a Safety Culture.                                         

7. Support in tender and/or project preparation phases (Optional)                                    

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety of related fields

 

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Pack  
  • Good communication skills 
  • Basic knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices

Job Purpose/Mission  

This position will be part of the Global Data team. This is an incredible opportunity to join a high-performing team that is passionate about pioneering expanded financial services to off-grid customers at the base of the pyramid. Key responsibilities will include supporting the data team’s functions that include building and maintaining data pipelines between our main transactional and analytics databases, IoT data delivered from devices, PBX, and our in-house ticketing system.  You would also be responsible for building pipelines to deliver data in realtime to our field team mobile application to allow data-informed decisions to be made in the field, as well as working with members of the data team to ensure high code quality and database design.  Your work will make a meaningful impact by enabling Engie to continuously innovate on how we support our customers in their repayment journey. 

 

Responsibilities  

Data Modelling and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL):

  • implement robust data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
  • maintain scalable ETL processes from various sources, including multiple ERP systems, into a data warehouse. 

Data Ingestion and Automation data pipelines

  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • maintain automated data pipelines to streamline data processing and transformation.
  • Utilize orchestration tools to schedule and monitor pipeline workflows.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to understand data requirements and support their analysis needs.
  • Optimize data structures and queries to enhance performance and usability for analytical purposes.

Data Warehousing

Experience

Our Data Analyst Internship will be located on the University of Iowa Campus, this intern will support the team that provides distribution of chilled water, electricity, steam and water to multiple customers across our campuses. This group maintains the cabling, controls network, metering, piping, pumping, substation, tunnel and vault systems that comprise the distribution systems.  These positions may also assist with development and execution of materials inventory tracking, or installed inventory, using a variety of computer programs.

  • Student may independently conduct data collection, modeling, sampling or light maintenance without direct supervision

This Environmental Development and Permitting Intern role is an opportunity to work with a Global Leader in Renewables Development. The Intern will have the opportunity to coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Land Use, and Engineering obligations.

  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, and site visits to wind and/or solar sites
