What You Can Expect

As our Data Analyst Intern, in Columbus, OH, at The Ohio State University. You will be responsible for aiding in reducing energy consumption in campus buildings. This role involves working on various data analytics projects, assisting in data acquisition, conducting analyses, and supporting the maintenance of the ENGIE C3ntinel energy data platform. You will gain hands-on experience in data analytics within the context of energy conservation initiatives.

 

Every day you will investigate and correct data errors, fulfill data requests, use C3ntinel to perform measurement and verification of energy conservation measures before and after implementation, extract data and calculate Energy Use Intensity (EUI), as well as perform analyses on energy conversation measures.  You will report to the Data Analyst II. The internship work term will be January 2025 - May 30th, 2025, 10-20 hours per week minimum.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at The Ohio State University
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Compensation

As the Flexible Generation Project Management Rotational Intern you will work within the Project Delivery Team’s Project Management Office (PMO) as a shared resource for the Project Delivery Team.  Additionally, you will assist BESS Project Managers with completion of project planning documents such as execution plans, risk registers, periodic reports, contract exhibits, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.  In this role you will also work with the Procore Administrator to manage RFIs and maintain project records.  This position is an entry level role for Project Managers to help them become familiar with ENGIE’s project management practices and to develop their abilities to become a BESS Project Manager or take on other Project Management roles within ENGIE.

 

  • Prepare, update, and distribute various project documents and records to assist BESS Project Managers. Documents will include Project Management Plans, Risk Registers, Periodic Reports, Scopes of Work, Schedules, Budgets, and various Contract Exhibits.
  • Work with Project Managers, Project Controls, and the Procore Administrator to ensure projects are properly reflected and maintained in Procore; may serve as an RFI Manager
  • As part of the PMO, will analyze various project data and KPIs, developing databases of costs and performance and creating dashboards and other reports
  • Participate actively in key project meetings such as handover meetings and development of lessons learned sessions
  • Assist project managers with activities related to planning, monitoring and controlling, executing, and closing projects

As the Flexible Generation Engineering Rotational Intern you will play a key role on a diverse team developing cutting-edge energy storage solutions. This role also includes identifying project requirements, designing battery energy storage systems, specifying system components, supporting the business development team, managing projects from design to operation, and supporting the operations team.
