After eight years spent developing and transforming ENGIE, Olivier Biancarelli will leave the Group on 31, July 2020.

Paulo Almirante will take over supervision of the Client Solutions Business Line and ENGIE Impact, while Shankar Krishnamoorthy will take over supervision of Tractebel.

Claire Waysand, ENGIE’s interim CEO, would like to “thank Olivier Biancarelli for the eight years he has spent with the Group. In the various roles that he has had, he has always been fully committed to transforming the Group and creating new service offerings for its clients – particularly for local authorities and for companies."

Olivier Biancarelli said: “I am certain that decarbonising energy production and reducing consumption are in line with the evolution of our society. I would like to pay tribute to the work done by the teams who have played a part in the incredible transformation that ENGIE has undergone. In particular, I would like to mention the Tractebel employees I had the honour of managing. I sincerely hope that everybody pursues this transformation with motivation and enthusiasm.
