Team ENGIE kitesurfer Alex Caizergues became kite speed world champion for the 4th time at the competition held in Oman from August 1 to 6, 2017.
Alex Caizergues has earned the 4th kitesurfing world championship title of his career.
Sponsored by ENGIE since 2009, Alex Caizergues, who holds the kite speed world record (56.62 knots, or 104.8 km/h), confirmed his status as leader in the discipline, taking a new kite speed world championship title in Oman. Although there was no world record for Alex this time, he put in an almost perfect performance, winning ten of the twelve heats that make up the competition.
