Construction, which began in 2023, involves more than 300 French companies, including a hundred regional ones:
- The substation was built by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint Nazaire (find out more).
- The slewing rings are supplied by Rollix Defontaine – the only regional company to have been selected by a French offshore wind farm to manufacture this part.
- The core cables are designed in Île-de-France by Prysmian.
- The support vessels, which are used for logistics operations, are equipped by French companies such as Louis Dreyfus Armateur, TSM, STO Logistique, AMS and Alka Marina.

In total, 1,600 direct and indirect jobs have been created by construction phase, including 1,000 in Le Havre for blades and nacelles manufacturing.
By the end of November, the entire wind farm will produce energy for the grid for a period of 25 years. This operational phase will generate 85 permanent direct jobs, 60 of which will be for the operation and maintenance of the wind farm, located on the Île d’Yeu base.
Proof that renewable energies also energize local industries.
