The ENGIE Kite Tour kicks off in Cap d'Agde on April 15!

The ENGIE Kite Tour begins! This latest edition includes three days of regattas in speed crossing format for kite foil, twin-tip (TT), directional board and wing foil athletes. Wing foiling will have its own separate ranking for the first time this year. Organised by the Centre Nautique du Cap d’Agde French school of sailing, this new stage will allow ENGIE Kite Tour ambassadors and experienced kiteboarders to face off after the winter break. 

 

For the first time ever, the ENGIE Kite Tour will take place in Cap d’Agde (Hérault department) for a weekend! The event will kick off on Richelieu beach, an internationally renowned boarding hotspot that is perfect for kiteboarding and wing foiling. 


The Centre Nautique du Cap d’Agde takes charge

The French Sailing Federation (FFVoile) has delegated the organisation of an ENGIE Kite Tour stage to the Centre Nautique du Cap d’Agde for the first time. This stage will not only help promote the boarding hotspot on Richelieu beach, it will also help develop the sport within the club, and will help reach a wider audience thanks to introductory kiteboard handling courses held every Saturday and Sunday. This is a great opportunity for amateurs, enthusiast, competitors and spectators to participate or attend a wonderful celebration of board sports.


All the ENGIE Kite Tour ambassadors will take part in this weekend of competition, sharing and friendliness. Among the athletes, Chris Ballois, Alex Caizergues, Théo de Ramecourt, Alexia Fancelli, Benoît Gomez, Axel Mazella, Poema Newland, Nicolas Parlier and Lauriane Nolot!

ENGIE FOUNDATION x FONDATION DE LA MER on the ENGIE Kite Tour

As part of their partnership, the ENGIE Foundation and the Fondation de la Mer are organising waste collection initiatives at every beach on the ENGIE Kite Tour. The goal is to raise awareness among spectators and kite surfers on reducing waste on a daily basis. 


Don’t miss this year’s first waste collection on Saturday 16 April, starting at 10 am at the Centre Nautique du Cap d’Agde! If you happen to be in the neighbourhood, join us in this great initiative while discovering the ENGIE Kite Tour.
