What You Can Expect

As our Administrative Assistant II, you will be a key member of the ENGIE North America Global Business Support (GBS) team, providing essential administrative support. In this role, you will create a positive and professional first impression for visitors by managing all front desk activities, including greeting guests, answering the main phone line, and issuing badges. You will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and organizing a diverse workload, ensuring that tasks align with team priorities. This position is based in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Human Resources Services Manager.

 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, conference call arrangement, travel arrangements, processing purchase requisitions, invoices, and expense reports, and preparing internal and external correspondence
  • Manage front desk operations, including screening and redirecting calls, handling incoming mail and packages, maintaining the mailroom, and coordinating mail services for employees
  • Oversee conference room scheduling and setup, ensuring cleanliness and proper organization, while also preparing materials from drafts using various software programs and Microsoft Office.
  • Assist new employees and visitors with tasks such as badge issuance, office orientation, and emergency procedures, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
  • Support department team members with general administrative tasks, including acting as backup for the Office Services Coordinator, coordinating charitable match program applications, and maintaining visitor and badge logs

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold an Associate’s degree in business administration or  related field of study; in lieu of a degree, you should have four (4) years of professional experience in which you have gained an understanding of office procedures, software applications, and organizational skills necessary for administrative roles

  • You are highly proficient in MS Office/Windows, with particular
  • expertise in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and calendar management
  • You are knowledgeable in supporting Human Resources departments and possess strong interpersonal skills, making you a valuable team player
  • You hold excellent writing skills, allowing you to draft and format memos and letters with proper grammar and spelling
  • You are proficient in managing multiple, simultaneous tasks, with a high degree of organization and attention to detail
  • You have the ability to adapt your communication style to different cultures and backgrounds, and constructively manage conflicts
  • You demonstrate a high level of professionalism, poise, and discretion, with the initiative to make decisions independently when needed

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires you to be in the office five days a week, as you will be the primary point of contact and represent the office.

Compensation

Salary Range: $42,300 – $64,515 USD annually

 

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

As the Account Manager for Power & Gas at ENGIE North America Inc, your role encompasses overseeing and managing all accounting functions related to ENGIE Power & Gas.   • Manage accounting and financial reporting activities for ENGIE North America Inc. Power & Gas, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures and policies
  • Lead and develop employees, providing instruction and direction according to department and company needs, while adhering to established policies and practices
  • Oversee controls to ensure reliability of financial statements, effectiveness of operations, and compliance with laws and regulations

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in financial reporting, settlements, or accounting within a commodity business, or retail power
  • You have experience in compiling financial statements using Cartesis and working with multiple accounting systems
  • You enjoy utilizing your strong accounting and reporting abilities, including using Cartesis retrieve for report generation and advance Excel skills

Basware is a SaaS software solution, specialized in managing invoices and payment processes for businesses. The software publisher also wants to offer services linked to electronic invoicing (Partner Dematerialization Platform, according to French DGFIP criteria).

The Technical Expert will be responsible for providing support and technical expertise for the implementation, configuration and maintenance of Basware at Engie.

 

Engie is working on the implementation of a Group solution for the digitization of incoming invoices, compliant with the requirements of the French Tax Administration for French entities and capable of responding to the local regulatory specificities of other Engie entities.

This project is also part of a broad program to harmonize solutions (especially the ERP systems present in the Group) and improve work processes, called GET (Global Enterprise Transformation).

 

The person who will occupy this position of Basware Technical Expertise Consultant will therefore have to work on a demanding project governed by calendar constraints (French electronic invoicing reform) and closely monitored by stakeholders (Engie Financial Department & beneficiary entities).

 

 

Content of the mission:

- Participation in projects to implement the Basware solution (incoming invoicing) for ENGIE entities, in order to master the information/contacts/specificities of each entity.

- Provide in-depth technical expertise on the Basware platform.

- Ensure the proper functioning and stability of Basware by carrying out tests, analyzes and resolution of technical problems.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure the stability of Basware.

- Document technical procedures, configurations and problem resolutions for future use.

- Participate in meetings and discussions with internal Engie partners to understand their needs and concerns, and propose improvements or technical solutions on Basware.

Position requirements

  • Senior position that require significant experience in large SAP projects
  • Strong experience in leading Infrastructures & technical teams
  • Ability to lead in matrixial organizations
  • Fluent English (oral/written)
  • Leadership, experience in transverse management and large team cross coordination
  • Experience of working in project management mode
  • Rigorous, able to find the right balance between industrialization & day-to-day requirements
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential
