The AWS/Devops Expert guarantees technological mastery of Cloud services and has sufficient knowledge to implement and control the quality of third-party deliverables. He/she is the last resort in the event of service provider failure or if SLAs are not met. They contribute significantly to the satisfaction of the BU.

He/she is responsible, within the scope of a Squad, for designing the technical and service architecture and its medium/long-term development in response to business needs and the services offered in the ENGIE IT catalogue. He/she is responsible for finding the best compromise between:

· existing resources and infrastructure (including FinOps)

· suitability to the reference framework being used by the squad,

· the performance of the squad (adaptability, maintainability, exportability, re-usability, costs, etc.).

He/she guarantees the coherence of all IT resources (Cloud platform, applications, databases, networks, middleware, operating system, PaaS, ServerLess) and their development, making the most of the state of the art. He/she will do everything possible to ensure that the required level of service and security are met.

 

 

He/she will work in a Product or DevOps squad under the authority of the squad manager.

In this squad, the cloud expert is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Analysing business needs, picking up requests and translating them into requirements and opportunities (DevOps or Product)
  • Taking part in designing and defining solutions, tests, prototypes and their end products
  • Building (Infrastructure as Code) cloud solutions that comply with the Group's standards and migrating infrastructure or On-Premises applications to the Cloud
  • Ensuring that the technical systems and services proposed are integrated
  • Analysing existing solutions (on-premises and cloud) and identify pathways for transformation
  • Acts as the point of reference on systems architecture during diagnostic phases and workarounds
  • Act as a pre-sales contributor: take part in customer meetings, build Poc, design products
  • Approving design choices, acting as a technical arbitrator in order to optimise the costs of solutions
  • Providing expert guidance during the bidding process for services and during specification phases
  • Monitoring new developments and providing in-house training in your area of expertise

 

Job requirements

 

Computer engineering qualification, a minimum of two years' experience working with AWS technology and a sound knowledge of DevOps practices.

 

Technical skills:

  • Sound knowledge of AWS, ideally with AWS Architect Associate or Pro cloud certification
  • DevOps practices (SCRUM method, Agile management with JIRA, use of an evolved forge cloud solution, particularly Jenkins/GitHub/Confluence)
  • Knowledge of architecture principles to manage a solution from A to Z: IaaS, PaaS and serverless
  • FinOps operational concepts: forecasting the optimisation of AWS consumption
  • SecOps operational concepts: planning the integration of end-to-end security in Cloud projects

Financial Boarder Program

 

The Financial Boarder program is the graduate program of ENGIE's finance function.

Its ambition is to attract and train talent within ENGIE's finance department, to accelerate their career development, to offer a varied experience at all levels of the group (HQ or GBS, GBU, Hub, Country, Entity) and in different finance specialties.

 

Its strength lies in its close tripartite collaboration between the program led by the Processes, Organization and Systems team of the Group Finance Department, the ENGIE Consulting team at GBS and the various entities in the finance sector according to the assignment of each mission during the two years of the program.

 

This coaching offers many opportunities for talent: mentoring, training (in finance, the Group's business model, consulting), presentations & REX, participation in cross-functional finance projects, etc.

 

 

Candidates are integrated in waves of reduced promotions, promoting a sense of community, which is all the stronger with the alumni network.

 

Candidates with 3 to 8 years of work experience are eligible for the program. They carry out three 8-month financial missions during which they are fully integrated into the local teams, which allows them to gain two years' experience within the group. The objective is to get to know the ENGIE Group and to complement financial experiences with functions that the candidate has not faced in the past.

 

Activities

 

Activities:

The Financial Boarder will have the opportunity to carry out three 8-month missions at different levels of the organization (Head Quarter, Global Business Units, Region, Country) and in different financial specialties (FP&A, AIFA, Internal Control, Investor Relations, Treasury, ...) depending on his/her previous experience:

  • An assignment will be carried out at the group's headquarters or at GBS
  • A mission will be carried out in a GBU or country to acquire operational skills (GBU HQ or national finance teams).
  • A mission must be carried out in the HUB's finance teams.

Throughout this program, you will develop a good understanding of the challenges of the Group's various financial and operational functions and you will create a real internal network. At the end of the 3 missions, you will be able to progress more quickly within the Group to positions of responsibility.
