Position Summary:

The CRO will be responsible for the plant operations from the control room to ensure the plant meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency, generations, cost targets, safety within strict environmental limits. This will include regular equipment start ups, shut down, changeover and regular operation/ monitoring, as well as responding to alarms and emergencies condition. The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of the technologies associated to operating a modern Cogeneration plant, Gas Turbine Plant, MED, Desalination Plant and a wide range of Auxiliary Equipment.

The CRO should complete the field operator PQR and should be able to work in the field when required.

 


Functions/ Task:        

Safety & Environment

  1. Responsible to ensure compliance of IMS.
  2. Operates plant within defined operating parameters to ensure safety of staff, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/ services and a responsible environmental attitude.
  3. Raises incident/ accident report when necessary.
  4. Participate in safety audits, tool box talks and safety walks.

 

Plant Operations

  1. Ensure optimum performance of the plant at all times and maintain the level of power and water export as required by off taker control center.
  2. Performa periodic plant test activities to ensure reliability of trip devices and standby plant equipment.
  3. Perform safe plant start-ups and shut down procedures to maintain optimum reliability of power and water plant equipment.
  4. Monitors performance of the plant during operations and shut down conditions.
  5. Monitors and analyses performance parameters of the plant for change and perform corrective actions necessary to keep the plant in a safe and efficient running condition.
  6. Planned and controlled changeover/ shutdown of plant equipment for maintenance purposes.
  7. Directs and guides field operators regarding handling and operating of plant equipment in field and conduct routine plant test/ changeover/ maintenance activities.
  8. Prepares the following reports
  1. Shift Report
  2. Trip Reports. (To record plant failures or trip condition analysis)
  3. Shift Production Control Room Log
  4. Other Related to equipment operations
  5. Play a Lead Role in case of emergency in the absence of Shift Engineer

 

Raising Plants Defects and Planning

  1. Raise work orders in system to report plant defects and follows up on progress.
  2. Coordinate with the Shift Engineer and maintenance team to schedule planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  3.  Prepare and issue safety documentation to ensure safe isolations from the system for the purpose of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

Coordination with Power, Gas, Sea Water & Water Control Centers

  1. Coordination and strong liaison with Power, Gas, Sea Water & Water Control Centers with regard to Availability Declarations & Requirements Planning.

Frame Work, Boundaries, & Decision Making Authority

  1. Job Holder operates under the general guidance of the Shift Engineer. The job holder is free to plan and manage own areas of activity within predefined limits.
  2. Any extra-ordinary issue arising out of the set policy and procedure are to be referred to the Sr. Shift Engineer for the approval of recommendation/ Solicitation of Further Action Plan.

Job Purpose/Mission

The Area Administrator is responsible for Customer experience in the Service Centers, logistics and stock and handover of products to customers that are eligible.

Responsibilities

  • To observe and record 100% accuracy handover per shop, For each handover, all relevant documents (corresponding customer contract, proof of ID, customer declaration form etc.) are scanned &   uploaded per   customer via Mysol go
  • Physical stock counting (daily) and reconciling physical stock with stock levels on Tally software system.
  • Matching of expected and submitted inventory, matching of stock figures (DB/Tally) and the physical stock count.
  • Coordinating submission of daily/weekly reports of return and repairs within the responsible regions per Service Center
  • Ensure customer education is highly conducted to promote customer satisfaction and explaining after-sales service to the customer.
  • Correctly transacting and   tracking   all incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure accurate stock levels are consistently maintained on Tally software system.
  • Contribute to 10% of sales target as per the hub distribution and handle all walk-in customers at the Service Centers.
  • Ensuring all licenses and regulatory data is up to date and correctly displayed as per the QA management policy.
  • Fully implement the FIFO methodology within the Service Centers and stock points
  • Display systems to be presentable, complete, clean, and working at any time.
  • Achieve financial reporting on Service Center expenses month by month per region and as per the assigned Service Center.

  • Field Marketing support merchandise_ store and manage the issuance and sign off all items going to the field.

What You Can Expect

As the Wind and Solar Area Manager, for this the West Texas region you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of four (4) Wind generation and Solar project sites. Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising six (6) direct reports.  In your capacity as the head of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors, subcontractors, maintenance, budgets, and consultants, coordinating efforts with third parties. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on Profit and Loss responsibility for regional performance.

 

You manage all areas of responsibility in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, environmental requirements, company policies and procedures, the company’s annual operations plan, legal and contractual requirements, and good wind and solar industry practices. Additionally, you take all necessary actions to protect the facility’s operating permits, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

 

Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Reliability Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computer-based systems, ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-sites.

 

  • You will need to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar sites
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical diploma/high school diploma and seven (7) years’ experience in a related industry where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years previous experience in supervision of technical, operating or maintenance personnel
  • In-depth knowledge of wind, solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) power generating equipment and technologies
  • Working knowledge of solar power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify, categorize and troubleshoot
  • You should be able to effectively lead and manage multiple teams, as well as communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to client site(s)
  • This role requires daily attendance at a worksite
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically 50% to visit sites, company meetings, events and training.

Compensation

Salary Range: $1121,980 – $196,765 USD annually
