Job Purpose/Mission

This role has been created to Grow EEA Brand in Rwanda to be the most known and preferred Solar Energy Company in Eastern Africa, with a BIG BRAND FEEL at every customer touch point.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategy

 

  • Design and continuously refine and iterate in-country Marketing strategy in line with EEA goals and KPIs on customer acquisition, retention and management.
  • Define the Annual Marketing Budget in line with Brand growth ambitions.
  • Design Annual Campaigns and Promotions Calendar aligned with Sales & PH Goals with ROI Metrics.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer segments according to demographic information, media consumption patterns and existing customer behavior then give insights on Product portfolio management.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market conditions.
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives to optimize online presence and customer engagement.
  • Create and manage marketing collateral to improve visibility and Brand Awareness
  • In collaboration with CX & Sales drive the set-up of alternative channels including Distribution partners and Enterprises.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations in the energy sector.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirement

 

Implementation

 

  • Scope out ALL Campaigns & Promotions, including the concepts, mechanics, budgets and success trackers.
  • Decide and secure approval for Agency engagement, managing all contracts diligently.
  • Provide guidance on the process of creating integrated marketing communications across ATL, BTL, OOH & OTT Platforms.
  • Ensure Quality Control by reviewing and approving all Marketing Elements for publication and production; internal and external channels including social media, email, SMS, and more.

 

 

Reporting & Evaluation

 

  • Evaluating and reporting country Marketing KPIs weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Track & report Budget to Actual weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually and align to spending plans with Finance.
  • Assess how different marketing channels work together to achieve overall objectives.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across various platforms.
  • Use data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and understandable format.
  • Create dashboards that provide a comprehensive view of marketing performance.

 

Team Building & Development

 

  • Design/Redesign and retain a dynamic and agile Marketing team of highly motivated individuals.
  • Performance management through reviews, feedback, coaching and mentoring.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

 

  • Own & advance engagement with the Global Brand & Comms Unit & Operational Marketing, securing the relevant support required and keeping them informed on in-country successes.
  • Own and advance relationships with key stakeholders in order to ensure value creation for both EEA and partners.

Knowledge and skills

 

Experience:

 

  • At least 5 years of professional Marketing experience in Energy sector, Banking, FMCG or Agency space.
  • Experience leading entry level staff on tactical implementation
  • Proven track record on success in brand building via traditional and digital platforms and tools. marketing experience in related industry including 2+ years of management experience
  • Excellent Interpersonal communication skills to coordinate the work of internal or external teams working on the campaigns

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Advertising or related.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sales Operations Structuring Manager provides a vital role in Sales Operations team.  They will manage Facility Deal Structuring, Contract Statement of Work Redline Reviews, and inbound tasks to Sales Operations for clarity and appropriate assignment.  This individual will also be expected to function as project manager on critical opportunities as identified and finally will proactively support the review and update of contract service statements of work and proposal scopes.

 

This individual will work with Sales, Delivery, Business Solutions Directors, Pricing, Legal, RFP team, Product Management and others in our organization. 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sales Operations Structuring Manager will work with all client segments and multiple business units across the organization.  They are expected to provide project management on large or critical sales opportunities, ensure any opportunity tasks submitted are complete and will assign out as appropriate, they will manage the Statement of Work (SOW) redline review process internally and occasionally with clients, and will ensure any custom scoping provided for inclusion in proposals or contracts meets approval with appropriate delivery teams.

 

Deal Project Management (20%)

  • Provide project management for large ($400K+) / critical opportunities through the pricing, proposal, redline reviews and delivery assurance process.
  • Develop and manage those project teams which may include both internal and external resources and business partners coordinating and integrating project activities across operational and functional business lines.
  • Define and manage deal risks, contingencies and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify business stakeholders and effectively communicate project status, activities, etc. - both verbal and written.

Manage weekly Facility Deal Structuring Call: own agenda, notes, and action items (20%)

  • Facilitate follow up meetings with internal team(s) to resolve action items.
  • Facilitate one-off Facility Deal Structuring Call(s) as needed.

Direct the SOW redline review process for assigned deals both internally and externally, ensuring all pricing items are reviewed and approved by pricing via approval process.  Will also work with delivery to provide appropriate counters or acceptance of client redlines via SOW approval process (25%)

Responsible for management of the Sales Operations inbox and assign readied deals to appropriate owner.  Ensure all required components are included in the Opportunity and task for pricing / legal / proposal / redline review prior to tasking incoming requests to appropriate team. (25%)

Proactively manage the creation and validation of custom and standard scopes for services. (10%)

  • Custom Scopes will be managed as defined in the Facility
  • Deal Structuring Process.
  • Standard scopes should be proactively reviewed with appropriate stakeholders to ensure SOWs remain valid and align with service delivered.

Decision authority: 

The Sales Operations Structuring Manager will have the authority to send tasking back to sales requesting additional information if identified criteria are not met such that pricing / legal / proposal / redline review cannot be appropriately completed based on the initial task submitted

 

The Sales Operations Structuring Manager will defer to Senior Manager Sales Operations for guidance on items as necessary.

 

 

Education/Certification/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent business experience.
  • MBA and or PMP a plus

Experience: 

  • 5 years minimum project management, sales support, contract review or combination thereof.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to successfully multi task on numerous open items.
  • Experience with process improvement best practices
  • Superior project management and strong financial acumen
  • Strong communication skills / ability to communicate effectively with “C” level.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce

Job Overview

As part of the Power Corner Zambia management team and functionally attached to the global head of Product & Commercial Mini grid, the Product & Commercial manager is responsible for the product development, the customer experience, and the revenues at country level. This covers our different revenue streams of electricity sales, appliances sales, customer finance, and ad hoc services. To meet her/his goal, her/his scope will cover customer care and customer service, marketing, business incubation program and support to entrepreneurs, building and managing local partners, data analytics and activities monitoring. She/He will oversee managing the commercial team in the clusters of operations. This position implies to work in close relationship with the whole Power Corner team in Zambia, the ENGIE Energy Access team and the global Product & Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Commercial development and management 

  • Structure and lead all commercial activities within the company.  
  • Manage commercial team in cluster (Objectives setting, training, support, monitoring, performance evaluation etc.) on all commercial topics: energy sales, appliances sales, customer finance management, customer experience, other services. 
  • Build the budget, monitor activities, and build the commercial monthly reporting.  

Data analysis 

  • Build and maintain operational monitoring and management tools for commercial activities. 
  • Analyze commercial data to improve performance, processes, and products.

Organize a network of partners. 

  • Develop and manage a network of local partners to boost income generating activities in the mini-grid sites.

  • Supervise development and maintenance full dispatch power stack models

What You’ll Bring

Key Responsibilities, Deliverables and Activities

Responsibilities

  • Set and manage the overarching strategic direction, priorities and focus areas for sales commercial (sales, marketing and business development), cascading and ensuring alignment throughout EEAB.
  • Manage consolidated country P&L commercial performance (primarily revenue and gross profit), with a secondary focus on driving overall EBITDA (given sales team core responsibilities for credit, product, operations, and CX outcomes).
  • Where the country is underperforming on sales and commercial targets, manage turnaround efforts to remediate performance.
  • Establish a best-in-class commercial operating model, with a high-impact and right-sized organizational structure, tools, reports, standards and systems.
  • Lead our go-to-market strategy through understanding our customers, the market and competitive landscape then determining competitive positioning with regards to products, prices, channels and locations.
  • Develop and lead a team a commercial team on a local, regional and national level, with full responsibility for the team’s workplan, coaching and professional development.
  • Lead and oversee strategic projects to improve commercial performance.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

 Strategy, Planning & Budgeting (10%)

  • Set and manage the overarching strategic direction, priorities and focus areas for commercial across EEAB over the short, medium and long-term.
  • Develop the commercial strategy to drive efficient customer acquisition and revenue growth throughout EEAB, including directly owning key inputs with our go-to-market strategy (locations, distribution channels, marketing, partnerships, new products etc.) and collaborating cross-functionally to determine other key strategic inputs (e.g. product, pricing, CX, Operations, etc.)
  • Ensure regions have localised strategies in line with the country strategy and have robust plans to deliver the country targets, including allocating sufficient investment and resources to reliably execute.
  • As part of the management team, provide thought partnership for cross-functional leads, provide input into strategies, act as a key stakeholder on cross-functional decisions and ensure that core commercial and enabling functions align with the sales strategy.
  • Develop the sales, marketing and business development team budgets, and track departmental expenditures, financial goals and budgets.
  • Where required, both lead and oversee strategic commercial projects to drive sales growth across EEAB.
  • Own Sales Forecasting Process ensuring country ensuring that both short term and long-term forecasts are validated as per SOP and the country achieves industry standard forecast accuracy.

 

Governance, Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management (40%)

  • Continuously manage country P&L performance, including:
  • Primary focus on revenue (through sales volumes, kit mix and price), gross profit (through maximization of higher margin sales with lower COGS) and cost of sales.
  • Secondary focus on EBIT, given sales team core responsibilities for credit, product, operations, and CX outcomes.
  • Set the overarching sales target setting process, approve regional sales targets.
  • Oversee the development of reports, analysis and insights for financial performance and other operational KPIs for sales (per sales manager / agent, active agents) and marketing (brand health, marketing spend, referrals, etc.).
  • Establish the overarching governance framework to track performance against commercial goals, lead national governance forums and hold Regional Managers and other departments accountable for results and plans.
  • Where there is underperformance, provide hands-on support to turnaround and make key decisions to remediate performance.
  • Continuously monitor performance of other key functions that drive sales, including product, pricing, sales, distribution, portfolio health, customer experience, software, and service with potential partners, working with them to take remediation action to address underperformance.

 

Commercial & Marketing Operations (30%)

  • Lead and manage development of a robust sales operating model, including:
  • Develop procedures and policies for core sales operations functions (lead and opportunity management; recruitment and training, tools of trade, incentives, size and structure, government reporting and performance management etc.).
  • Implement procedures and policies throughout the sales function, monitor and ensure compliance, continually test and improve.
  • Lead and manage marketing operations, including:
  • Lead market research, including the market and competitive landscape to identify analyze threats and opportunities.
  • Segment EEA Benin’s customers and develop tailored strategies to target specific customers’ profiles (SHS, SBS, Minigrids).
  • Identify trends in customer behavior closely following sales, product usage, customer retention, upgrades and competitors, leveraging this data to enhance our commercial strategy.
  • Supervise all marketing channels and methods to ensure appropriate information is effectively communicated to external audiences (including leading campaigns).
  • Establish and manage external partnerships, including negotiating ongoing contracts with suppliers and customers, managing and reviewing contracts and making recommendations regarding commerciality.

 

Leadership, Management & Culture (20%)

  • Develop and lead a team of sales, commercial and marketing managers, including full responsibility for coaching and their professional development.
  • Manage the team’s work plan and workload to ensure delivery of agreed goals.
  • Help recruit, collaborate with, coordinate and train diverse teams such as field sales, B2B channels and credit teams.
  • Provide strong leadership, management and coaching for regional sales and marketing teams, including with support to other members of the Management Team.

 

Required Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / communications / marketing / public Relations or Business. MBA an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in progressive business leadership experience, with 3+ years leading a Commercial & Marketing function in related areas or sectors such as microfinance, digital financial services, telecoms, project management, data analysis, or field team management, with proven track record of generating and converting opportunities into commercial contracts.
  • Strong commercial capability across sales and marketing (B2C and / or B2B), with a demonstrated history of leading and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Outstanding leadership, having led large field-based sales teams and the ability to create a performance culture with strong governance, accountability and results.
  • Strong understanding of the Benin commercial environment, ideally with time spent in various regions throughout Benin.
  • General strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set and communicate the strategic vision for commercial & marketing throughout the organization.
  • Ability to lead high-impact cross-functional strategic commercial & marketing projects end to end (including planning, analysis, conclusions and implementation) to achieve results.
  • Exceptional judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to independently assess and take action to achieve results.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships with key functional leads (especially Customer Finance, Customer Experience and Operations) but also with external strategic commercial & marketing partners.

  1. Mission de l’emploi

 

Le Conseiller Point Services aide à la bonne gestion du point services en fournissant un service client avant et après-vente efficace aux clients. Il/elle s’occupe de la gestion des stocks sur le point services et sur le terrain. Il/elle fournit un reporting régulier sur les différents indicateurs relatifs à son poste.

 

  1. Responsabilités

 

1- Satisfaction clientèle

Assurer une bonne satisfaction client en fournissant un excellent service client en tout temps, en répondant aux questions et plaintes, en diagnostiquant les problèmes techniques et en procédant aux échanges de matériels si nécessaire.

 

2- Feedbacks clients / Produits

Aider à recueillir les feedbacks clients sur la qualité de nos produits, les remonter et aider au développement et amélioration des produits en effectuant des tests et des enquêtes.

 

3- Animations commerciales

Contribuer à l’animation commerciale, en support du Marketing et travailler sur la visibilité du point services dans sa localité.

 

4- Gestion du stock et de la disponibilité des Kits au Point Services, auprès des

CCS* (*Conseillers Confort Solaire) et Points relais

Superviser et surveiller l’arrivée des kits et leur sortie de l’inventaire sur le territoire du Point Services, fournir des rapports réguliers sur l’inventaire des kits et renseigner les bases des données adéquates.

 

5- Accompagnement des CCS

Répertorier les clients en situation d’impayés dans la base de données et mettre à disposition la liste aux CCS | Orienter les clients potentiels vers les CCS géographiquement proches (après consultation des Chefs de vente & Chefs de vente adjoint) et leur donner du support, si nécessaire, dans les divers processus. Les informer et les suivre régulièrement sur les techniques de suivi client | Former les CCS sur l’installation et l’utilisation de FenixGo | Participer au debrief avec les équipes terrain et remonter les informations utiles à partager.

            Qualifications :

  • Avoir au moins 2 à 5 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la relation client
  • Disposer d’un BAC+2/3 en Gestion des Entreprises, Gestion Commerciale, Marketing et Action commerciale ou tout autre diplôme équivalent
