As a Senior Advisor Data Pipeline Engineer you will be a critical member of ENGIE's growing team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based data pipelines that power our innovative energy solutions. Your work will ensure that external data sources—such as weather and grid data—are reliably fetched, processed, and stored in support of advanced analytics, forecasting, and optimization tools.

 

You will collaborate closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand evolving data needs, contributing to the performance, scalability, and observability of our overall data architecture. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, detail-oriented engineer passionate about data integrity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

 

Reporting to the Head of Operational Technology, your roles and responsibilities include:

 

  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and observable cloud-based data pipelines supporting large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and maintain integrations with external data providers, specifically weather and grid data sources
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of the broader data pipeline ecosystem, focusing on scalability and low-maintenance operation
  • Support data governance, compliance initiatives, and implementation of data security best practices
  • Build dashboards and monitoring tools to ensure pipeline reliability and prompt issue detection
  • Monitor data pipelines for performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Participate in peer code reviews, team knowledge sharing, and contribute to process improvements
  • Advocate and enforce best practices in data management, orchestration, and software development

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of a high school diploma with relevant certifications in Data Engineering
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of industry experience as a data, data pipeline, machine learning, or project management work in the data field
  • Proven track record building high-volume, low-maintenance, production-grade data pipelines, ideally supporting machine learning applications
  • Experience in ETL processes, data ingestion from multiple sources, and orchestration frameworks
  • Experience in programming proficiency in Python, with solid experience writing database queries in SQL
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data-related services
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Dagster (preferred), Prefect, or Airflo
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and understanding of best practices for scalability and reliability
  • Solid grasp of data security, privacy compliance, and governance principles
  • Strong commitment to collaboration, with a team-first mentality and excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for remote work within the United States
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually 

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

  • Manage the P&L for ENGIE’s matrix portfolio
  • Monitor NIST Broker feedback and supplier matrix rankings with particular focus on the matrix pricing. Propose and help set margin adjustments to matrix pricing

What You’ll Bring

The Role:

    • Requesting extensions to protect accounts from negative action
    • Obtain any missing invoicing
    • Update/correct data as needed

  • Maintain accurate general ledger coding allocations, vendor codes and any other file related data
  • Perform manual consolidations as needed
  • Responsible for account and site creation as requested by clients
  • Perform FBI uploads

As a Market/Middle-Office Advisor, you will report to ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA) Risk Director and you will be responsible for supporting daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) reporting, P&L (Profit & Loss) validation, risk monitoring including stress test for the US B2B Supply business activity. You will ensure consistent and accurate publication of the Daily P&L and compliance with the different risk limits and metrics. You will also consists of managing the book structure across multiple legal entities’ transactions and maintains strict adherence to risk mandates. By estimating and modeling various market inputs, validating forward/settlement curves, and creating data-driven reports, the position is crucial in supporting the overall financial performance and risk management of the Supply business activity. Additionally, you will contribute to improving the Middle-Office and Market Risk processes specific to the Supply  business, enhancing reporting capabilities through tools like Power BI.

  • Daily MtM (Mark-to-Market) Reporting and Validation

o     Oversee the computation and validation of daily MtM values for all books and products

o   Translate the current MtM computation of the Supply load book to the EEMNA ETRM system where wholesale positions are stored, aiming to reduce extensive manual adjustments, and improving auditability and transparency

o      Validate daily P&L results and provide clear explanations by KPI to the different portfolio managers, investigate and resolve any discrepancies

o      Ensure timely distribution and accuracy of MtM figures to key stakeholders

  • Risk & Performance Reporting

o      Develop KRIs (wholesale and retail related) and dashboards using tools like Microsoft Power BI to enhance visibility into operational and financial performance

o      Enforce risk mandates, monitoring limit usage and escalating breaches when necessary  

  • Book Structure Management (Multi-Legal Entity)

o      Oversee and manage book structures across various legal entities within Supply , ensuring meticulous capture and accurate valuation of all trades

o      Collaborate with the Front Office, Back Office, and accounting teams to keep book hierarchies aligned with organizational requirements

  • Forward and Settlement Curves Validation (Price Control)

o      Validate and benchmark cost curves used by Supply, ensuring consistency with market data

  • Process Automation & Reporting Improvements

o      Lead initiatives to automate processes, improving the accuracy and efficiency of data capture and reporting

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in Market finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Market Risk/Middle-Office environment within the energy or commodities sector (Gas and Power)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing MtM reporting, profit and loss analysis, and risk metrics (e.g., V@R, stress testing).
  • Past experience with retail electricity providers preferred
  • Proficient in ETRM systems (e.g., FIS Aligne, Alegro, etc.) and advanced Excel
  • Proficient with Power BI for reporting and data visualization, including SQL, Python
  • Strong understanding of forward curve validation, price control processes, and exotic parameter management (shape factors, scalars)
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with Front Office, Back Office, IT, and senior management
  • Highly organized, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Qualificações

  • Licenciatura em ramo compatível de Engenharia, designadamente Eletrotécnica ou de Energia
  • Outras Qualificações ou Certificações: Mestrado na área académica antes referida.

Requisitos de Conhecimento e Experiência

  • Experiência profissional de 5 anos na área funcional.
  • Conhecimentos sólidos e visão científica de tecnologias, sistemas, processos e procedimentos na área da Engenharia de Manutenção aplicada à indústria da produção elétrica em ativos renováveis.
  • Conhecimentos avançados de modelos e metodologias de Planificação da Manutenção em ambiente industrial (preferencialmente em contexto de ativos eólicos e solares).
  • Conhecimentos avançados de Segurança no Trabalho e Conformidade Ambiental, preferencialmente em contexto de ativos eólicos.
  • Conhecimentos sólidos de ferramentas informáticas de suporte à função, incluindo as ferramentas Office,  ERP SAP (muito valorizado), MS Project ou similar (entre outras ferramentas aplicacionais necessárias ao exercício funcional).

  • Capacidade de diálogo técnico-científico na área da Engenharia de Manutenção, com enfoque nas tecnologias e equipamentos de performance avançada no contexto de ativos renováveis.

The Role
You will be tasked with offering your expertise in quantitative commodity trading models developed by the Analytics team. The insights and analyses produced will enhance decision-making throughout the broader ANZ organization.
Responsibilities include leading the creation of quantitative models for valuing OTC and electricity option contracts, collaborating with the Forward Trading and Origination teams to develop and implement models and tools that aid trading decisions, and working closely with the Head of Analytics or Head of Forward Power Trading on complex tasks with minimal guidance.
You will also be responsible for defining analytical requirements for significant projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analytical work, and maintaining regular communication regarding project status with the Head of Analytics or Head of Forward Trading.
Additionally, you will provide innovative solutions to emerging challenges alongside the Head of Analytics and Principal Analyst, while proactively proposing new analytics initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

 

Qualifications & Education

  • Tertiary degree in Quantitative Finance or other relevant discipline
  • Experience developing models to value non-standard financial products and commodity structured products
  • Proven ability to develop and run quantitative models to support commodity trading, including option valuation models
  • Proficient in technical and programming skills such as SQL, Microsoft Excel, and coding in Python or C#
  • Strong statistical skills in the collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation of numerical data
  • Excellent analytical thinker and problem solver, adept at creating innovative models, tools, and techniques through experimentation
  • Demonstrated project leadership and experience mentoring junior team members

Votre mission

 

En tant qu’ingénieur·e en infrastructure (voiries, tramways, pistes aéroportuaires) au sein de notre département Infrastructure, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la conception de projets d’aménagement géométrique et structurel. Vous travaillerez sur des infrastructures variées, notamment les autoroutes, routes régionales, tramways, pistes aéroportuaires, tunnels et ponts. 
Un autre volet important de votre mission pourra se porter sur la conception des systèmes de traitement des eaux usées, en prenant en compte le changement climatique et l'utilisation durable de l'eau de pluie.


Vos principales responsabilités

 

Votre rôle consistera à intégrer divers aspects essentiels dans les travaux, notamment :

 

  • Conception Spatiale : Élaborer des plans optimisant l'utilisation de l'espace, en respectant les normes en vigueur.
  • Mobilité : Assurer un flux de circulation fluide en tenant compte des besoins des usagers.

Nous aimerions faire la connaissance de personnes ayant  
 

  • Un diplôme d'ingénieur en génie civil ou une maîtrise en sciences industrielles.
  • Environ 5 ans d'expérience professionnelle pertinente.
  • Une bonne maîtrise de MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, et Autocad/Civil 3D.
  • Une expérience en gestion de projets complexes.
  • La capacité de communiquer couramment en français (langue maternelle) et un bon niveau d'anglais. La connaissance du néerlandais est un atout.
