Job function    : Renewable Energy

 

Role:

 

As a Deputy Manager/Manager Electrical, you will be working in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind) Power Projects under the project manager for the initial few periods prior to work independently as the project manager.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must have good knowledge of solar power plant designing concepts i.e DC side as well as AC side
  • Must be able to provide support in pre bid engineering, Owners Engineering (Review of Design Documents) and Detailed engineering design.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in developing General Arrangement Layout of PV Plant, cable routing, earthing, Lightning protection, lighting, Main Control Room, Inverter Station etc.
  • Must have experience and knowledge in all electrical calculation and studies i.e. cable sizing, earthing, battery sizing etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in Electrical system studies Short circuit, Load flow, relay setting and coordination etc. is preferable
  • Must have knowledge of all relevant standards and guidelines i.e. IS, IEC, IEEE, International Guidelines, Guidelines issued by CEA, CERC, MNRE etc.
  • Experience in independently preparing Techno-commercial feasibility study, Detailed Project Report, Resource assessment and Energy Yield Assessment for Solar PV projects
  • Experience to carry out energy yield for solar plants independently using simulation software such as PV SYST, SAM, etc will be an added advantage
  • Experience of working in wind power projects and basic knowledge of storage concepts will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point presentation Creating documents, writing reports according to specifications
  • Capable to conduct research and traveling to sites.
  • Time management and professionalism.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to accept criticism

You will work on various National and International projects requiring technical skills in the following areas:

  • Solar / Wind/ Hybrid/ Storage Projects
  • Basic Engineering/ Detailed Engineering/ Owner’s Engineering / Lender’s Engineering

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the renewable industry, preferably in consulting, in the above areas

Required Qualification

We are looking for a Trader to join the team to build quantitative trading strategies in SPP MISO designed to optimize asset performance in DA and RT markets. 

We are looking for a highly skilled Trader to join our growing team. As a Trader in Houston, TX, you will report to the Head of Asset Backed Trading. You will be responsible for optimizing battery, solar, wind, and supply exposure to DA and RT markets across the interconnection, including SPP, MISO and PJM. 

 

  • Execute trades in DA and RT markets within SPP, MISO and/or PJM
  • Analyze market trends, price movements, and supply-demand dynamics to identify trading opportunities
  • Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize portfolio performance
  • Monitor and manage risk associated with trading activities
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to enhance trading models and tools
  • Utilize Python or R to automate trading processes and improve efficiency
  • Prepare and present trading reports and performance analysis to senior management

What You Can Expect
ENGIE Supply & Energy Management (SEM) is responsible for managing the portfolio of gas, electricity, congestion revenues rights and environmental products for ENGIE, across geographies. More recently, SEM has extended his scope to also manage all the market risks (energy, congestion, RECs, ancillaries) generated by the Renewable and Battery Storage Assets owned by ENGIE North America, which includes wind farms, solar farms, and storage units. The Power Portfolio Management team is precisely the group in charge of these activities.

 

The Asset Backed Trading group is responsible for the pricing and managing the risks associated with the power generation and retail business across the United States. We are looking for a Trader to join the team to build quantitative trading strategies in ERCOT designed to optimize asset performance in DA and RT markets. 

We are looking for a highly skilled Trader to join our growing team. As a Trader in Houston, TX, you will report to the Short Term Optimization Lead. You will be responsible for optimizing battery, solar, wind, and supply exposure to DA and RT markets across ERCOT. 

 

•    Execute trades in DA and RT markets within ERCOT
•    Analyze market trends, price movements, and supply-demand dynamics to identify trading opportunities
•    Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize portfolio performance
•    Monitor and manage risk associated with trading activities
•    Collaborate with the analytics team to enhance trading models and tools
•    Utilize Python or R to automate trading processes and improve efficiency
•    Prepare and present trading reports and performance analysis to senior management

 

What You’ll Bring
•    Bachelor's degree in which you completed courses in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in power market trading, specifically in ERCOT
•    Proven track record of successful DA/RT spread trading
•    Strong coding skills in Python or R
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
•    Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
•    Strong communication and teamwork skills
•    Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
•    Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Compensation
Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually 

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • 6+ years of experience as a marketing professional in a corporate or agency setting 
    • 2+ years of experience in B2B environment 
    • SaaS business experience recommended, but not required

Senior Data Integration Engineer in Spokane, Washington

 

Duties:   Support ENGIE Insight’s computer systems and ETL (“Extract, Transform, Load”) data integration processes.  Translate business requirements into data models that drive data warehouse or data mart design and configuration.  Work with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and approve business requirements for data analysis and reporting projects. Translate business requirements into system design specification to manage Unstructured, Transactional, Hierarchical, Master and meta data.  Design, develop and implement data integration (ETL) processes to transform unstructured and disparate source data into the target data stores, data warehouses or data mart.  Oversee implementation and maintenance of ETL processes that support feature development and testing.  Monitor data warehouse ETL processes and implementation of tuning as needed to address scalability, recoverability and performance impediment.  Provide support to ensure availability of Business Intelligence environments for internal and external users.  Provide technical leadership across ENGIE Insight’s ETL functional team.  Plan and conduct development work on data integration projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.  Remote work is permitted from a residence within normal commuting distance of ENGIE’s Spokane worksite at manager discretion. Off-site travel to local events may be required up to 10 days per year.  

 

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s experience as a Data Engineer, Senior Data Integration Engineer, Senior Technical Specialist, Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, Project Engineer, Programmer Analyst or a closely related information technology position.  Experience to include:

 

  • 5 years developing/building data pipelines using an ETL technology.
  • 5 years developing databases in SQL or in a comparable environment.
  • 5 years using Informatica or another ETL tool.

Power Congestion Analytics and System Planning Manager
