What You Can Expect
As our Maintenance Supervisor, at ENGIE’s Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP) located in Boston, MA, you will be responsible for responding to emergency or unanticipated electrical or mechanical maintenance requirements outside work hours. As well as arranging on-the-job training of maintenance personnel in accordance with established programs. Every day you will provide overall planning and supervision for installation, maintenance, alteration, replacement and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.
What You’ll Bring
- You will have a high School Diploma; along with Five (5) years of experience as an electrical and/or maintenance supervisor
- You will demonstrate technical ability in the operation and maintenance of industrial systems
- You have in-depth knowledge of power generation, power generation equipment and technology; thorough knowledge of all plant systems and understanding of process diagrams, simple electrical diagrams and operating instructions
- You have knowledge of maintenance requirements for gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers and chiller equipment
- You will plan, schedule, and provide overall supervision for maintenance work related to mechanical and electrical equipment and piping systems including, but not limited to, turbines, generators, pumps, motors, compressors, valves, electrical controls and high voltage circuit breakers
- You will initiate immediate repairs resulting from forced outages; communicate status to plant chain of command; oversee and coordinate activities of the mechanical maintenance department in compliance with applicable labor agreements and personnel policies and procedures
- You will assist in planning, developing, and scheduling major maintenance activities including overhauls, replacements and installations
- You will review and evaluate the need for tools, parts and materials for mechanical maintenance work
- You will approve maintenance activities within mechanical maintenance, and recommend action on maintenance personnel matters
- You will carry out other duties as assigned
Additional Details
- This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- This position consists of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
- Occasionally required to climb or balance
- Ability to use personal computer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Maximo CMMS programs
- Ability to use analytical judgment to plan and perform diversified work, making decisions within prescribed limitations
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and take direction from others
- Ability to work overtime, as well as, any schedule including nights and weekends
Compensation
Salary Range: $48.27 to $70.44 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
