About the role

ENGIE are recruiting for a Purchase to Pay Team Leader (P2P Team Leader) based in Newcastle. This is a hybrid role, working full time Monday to Friday . On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The post holder will play a key role is to shaping our customer journey strategy, ensuring a seamless experience across all touchpoints and platforms.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accounts payable ledger is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain good working relationships with suppliers, projecting a professional image of the company.
  • Day to day management of the accounts payable mailbox
  • Coding and posting purchase ledger invoices , employee expenses and payments
  • Reconciling received invoices to the Purchase Control System.
  • Generation of weekly payment run proposals, working within the agreed DLA.
  • Supporting weekly statement reconciliations.
  • Acting as an escalation point for more complex queries arsing from supplier contact, liaising with internal and external stakeholder, seeking an end resolution.
  • Ensuring that all AP activities comply with the relevant financial policies and procedures.
  • To lead the production and ongoing maintenance of task related training documents.
  • Generation and distribution of monthly Aged Payables reporting and analysis to key stakeholders within the global business unit.
  • Utilise Aged Payables reporting to aid with clear AP ledger, investigating and resolving aged items.
  • Ensure all requisitions, purchase orders catalogues are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintaining and regularly reviewing the approval matrix in line with ENGIE DLA guidelines.  

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Experience in leading and managing a P2P team or function in a large and complex
  • organisation
  • Knowledge of P2P processes, systems and best practices
  • Good Office IT skills such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Ability to work on Purchase Control Systems which are used for the purchase to pay function.
  • Previous SAP knowledge is preferable
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player willing to work with all parts of the business treats colleagues fairly and consistently
  • Able to manage conflicting and demanding priorities with excellent organisational skills.
  • Flexibility – able to adapt to any last minute changes or unexpected requests.
  • Expected to be organised and able to deal with queries promptly whilst communicating with internal and external parties.
  • Analytical and problem solving mindset and is quick and effective at processing
  • information, and has a solutions driven approach to work.
  • Experience in managing accounts payable ledger
  • Industrial/Utility experience as an end user · Negotiate contract supply agreements with suppliers
  • Leading and developing teams and key stakeholders
