ENGIE X City of Pau

Pau Urban Community awarded ENGIE the contract to supply hydrogen produced from local hydroelectricity for zero-emission urban buses. For Pau, this is another step on the way to achieving its Climate Action Plan targets.

ENGIE x Fraîcheur de Paris

In April 2022, the company Fraîcheur de Paris has taken over from Climespace as operator of the City of Paris district cooling system for a period of 20 years. And added into the bargain, an extension of the network to cover all the capital's arrondissements by the end of the concession, cooling an additional 2,300 buildings, including schools, care homes and hospitals run by the City of Paris. This ambitious development is supported by the City of Paris, motivated by its firm commitment to adopt efficient tools to fight and adapt to climate change.

ENGIE x City of Berlin

In Berlin, ENGIE and its German partner, GASAG, are transforming a former industrial site into a smart, sustainable and low-carbon district. Eventually, “Das Neue Gartenfeld” will be home to 10,000 residents.

ENGIE x HyNetherlands

Located in a region that is home to the chemical industry and that plans to put an end to the extraction of natural gas, the Eems electricity power plant intends to decarbonize its output. Renewable hydrogen from the renewable energy produced by off-shore wind farms, which are the driving force behind long-term sustainable industry and mobility in the Netherlands, is at the heart of the proposal on offer from the HyNetherlands project.

How do you carry out a remarkable solar power project on a wasteland? The Marcoussis commune, whose buildings rely on green electricity for more than a third of their electrical consumption, was looking to further its energy transition and to revive a piece of land that contained railway embankments.

ENGIE x PBCom – Philippines

Founded in 1939, PBCom is one of the largest commercial banks in the Philippines, with its headquarters, PBCom Tower, in Makati. Standing at 259 metres high, the 52-storey tower is considered to be the tallest office building in the Philippines and the country's third largest tower! PBCom called on ENGIE to help it achieve its target to cut CO<sub>2</sub> emissions and reduce its head office's energy bill, also improve air quality, air conditioning reliability and, more generally speaking, the comfort of its occupants.

ENGIE x Novacarb

Novacarb's La Madeleine plant uses a majority of coal to generate the steam energy it requires for its specialised activity manufacturing sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate. Through its partnership with ENGIE Solutions and the support of the French public sector financial institution Caisse des Dépôts, the plant will be switching to a greener energy mix.

As the largest of the Lower 48 States, much of Texas remains rural. Renewable energy projects are bringing new sources of economic development to them. Why? Because these projects create new jobs both in construction and the long term, they are a source of additional income for landowners and provide tax revenues for local communities long into the future. But how can the home of oil be transformed into a leader in renewable energy?

In Vienne (Isère, France), ENGIE Solutions, Yoplait Productions France and city authorities have joined forces to use the energy generated by the Yoplait plant to heat the district. Another step in the transition to decarbonised heat!

Floating (or marine) wind turbines offer a raft of advantages: often located further from the coast, they benefit from stronger and more constant winds than land-based turbines. As a result, thanks to its increased power output, a floating wind turbine can produce up to twice as much energy as an onshore wind turbine! But how can these “offshore” wind farms be installed in waters that are too deep for fixed-foundation turbines?

ENGIE x ORANGE – France

With its strategic Engage 2025 plan, Orange is aiming to reduce its direct CO<sub>2</sub> emissions by 30% compared with 2015, thanks to an energy mix made up of 50% of renewables. In the longer term, Orange is aiming for zero net carbon emissions by 2040.

ENGIE x Zero Emission Valley

The transport sector is the largest contributor of greenhouse gases. The time has therefore come for local authorities to transition towards cleaner mobility. How? By leveraging their natural resources! The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is a great example: it houses 80% of the players in the hydrogen sector in France and benefits from a subsurface that is rich in large salt cavities (ideal for the mass storage of hydrogen). So, how can these assets be used as a lever to promote zero-emission mobility?

The HyGreen Provence project, led by ENGIE, will contribute to the decarbonization of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in France, in particular energy-intensive industries located in the Fos-sur-Mer port area. It is part of a rapidly expanding

ENGIE x Masshylia – France

To reduce the carbon footprint of its La Mède biorefinery, ENGIE partnered with TotalEnergies in 2018. Together, they launched the Masshylia project, intended to become the first French site for the production of renewable hydrogen on an industrial scale. Explanations.

ENGIE x Terres de Montaigu France

The Terres de Montaigu community of communes’ biomethane production unit in the Vendée region of western France was set up following close consultation between the local authority and its stakeholders. Each year, the facility recycles some 30,000 tonnes of substrates produced by local farms and food production sites. It is combined with a photovoltaic power plant, which supplies some of the site's power needs in the form of self-consumed renewable electricity.

ENGIE x Microsoft – USA

Microsoft chose ENGIE to help implement a plan to transition all its data centers to renewable energy. The agreement signed by the IT giant in 2019 mandates ENGIE to supply electricity for its Texas data center using an innovative hybrid solution, which combines wind and solar power to guarantee a constant supply of high volumes of energy.

ENGIE x L’Oréal – Brésil

L’Oréal adopted an ambitious programme to reduce its environmental footprint, by sourcing 100% of its power supply from renewable energy sources. In Brazil, ENGIE supplies the cosmetics giant with turnkey solutions to step up its energy transition.

ENGIE x Cities of Saarbrücken and Gera – Germany

The German cities of Saarbrücken and Gera have committed to ambitious plans for their zero-carbon transition. Their aim is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from energy production – until now coal-fired – and make the environment healthier for local residents.
