External assessments and recognition

The extra-financial risk management assessments of ENGIE conducted by rating agencies provide external, independent recognition of the quality of its extra-financial processes. They therefore provide additional input to the interactive dialog between the Group and certain stakeholders, such as investors, shareholders, customers, the media and NGOs.

ESG performance improvement

Because ENGIE’s extra-financial performance is integral to its overall performance, it is regularly assessed by rating agencies. Since these agencies work on the basis of their own benchmarks, their individual analyses provide different and complementary perspectives on the overall ESG performance of the Group.

ENGIE incorporates the analytical outcomes of all these ratings into its continuous improvement process.

Moody’s ESG assessments

Moody’s ESG assessment :

In 2024, Moody’s ESG assessment once again places ENGIE at an advanced level of performance, with a rating of 73/100.

Moody’s assessed ENGIE’s transition plan and gave it a rating of NZ-2, finding it consistent with a 1.5°C ambition and assessing the implementation of its objectives as “solid”.

In September 2025, S&P Global awarded the Group a score of 81/100.

CDP assessment

Each year, ENGIE responds to the CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) questionnaire, which questions and ranks the world’s largest listed companies on their understanding of the challenges and their performance in terms of the fight against climate change (CDP Climate), the management of water resources (CDP Water) and their impact on forests (CDP Forests).

In 2025, the Group obtained an A- grade for the CDP Climate questionnaire, an A- grade for the CDP Water questionnaire, and a B grade for the CDP Forests questionnaire.

Sustainalytics assessment

In September 2025, ENGIE was positioned in the “medium risk” category by Sustainalytics.

In September 2025, ENGIE maintaine an AA rating from MSCI. ENGIE is included in several MSCI ESG indices, including the MSCI Europe Utilities Index and the MSCI EMU Infrastructure Index.

EcoVadis assessment

EcoVadis offers companies a platform for conducting ESG performance assessments of their suppliers. ENGIE completes this questionnaire every year at the request of its customers. The rating is calculated on the basis of 21 criteria grouped into 4 main themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

In 2025, ENGIE obtained an overall rating of 74/100.
