Supporting local actions to protect nature
Through its Impact Together program, ENGIE backs local projects dedicated to preserving nature. By supporting research, entrepreneurship and initiatives led by younger generations, we work alongside committed stakeholders taking action on the ground.
Raising awareness among young people about protecting nature
Roots & Shoots program
ENGIE supports the Roots & Shoots program of the Jane Goodall Institute France, encouraging younger generations to take action for environmental protection. This collaboration helps organize educational activities and community projects focused on reforestation and biodiversity protection.
Inspiring younger generations to protect marine ecosystems
ENGIE and the French Sailing Federation (FFVoile) are joining forces to raise young people’s awareness of marine ecosystem protection. The Federation has developed a sustainability policy focused on biodiversity preservation and reducing the environmental impact of sailing. ENGIE supports this initiative by promoting educational tools such as the Responsible Regatta Sailor Charter, helping prepare future sailors to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
Encouraging exploration and scientific research
Since 2022, ENGIE has supported the recipients of the Paul-Émile Victor Grant to encourage scientific exploration around the world. This financial support benefits essential research projects in fields such as oceanography and glaciology.
In 2024, ENGIE created the Women in Exploration Award, which recognizes all-female teams in order to promote the role of women in scientific fields where they remain underrepresented.
Supporting female entrepreneurs in agriculture
ENGIE supports the Farm’Her program, dedicated to female entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. This initiative highlights the role of women and gives them the tools to make their voices heard within the farming community. More broadly, this partnership contributes to supporting the transformation of the agricultural sector in response to environmental and social transition challenges.
