Career path
Sébastien Arbola began his career at BNP Paribas where he held various positions in finance from 1999 to 2006.
He joined Suez in 2006 before the merger with GDF. After holding various responsibilities within ENGIE’s Corporate finance team , Sébastien Arbola became Group M&A Director in 2011. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Asian environmental operations for Suez Environnement in 2013 based in Hong Kong.
Since 2016, he was head of the Middle East, South and Central Asia, Turkey and Africa region. In particular, he led the operations and growth of ENGIE in Dubai across the region, from large-scale power generation to water desalination to gas distribution and retail. In 2021, Sébastien Arbola is appointed Executive Vice President, in charge of Flex Gen & Retail. Since July 15th, 2025, Sébastien Arbola is Executive Vice President in charge of Data, Digital & IT, Strategy and Research & Innovation.
Sébastien Arbola is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris.
