What You Can Expect

As the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Senior Advisor in Houston, Texas for ENGIE’s Global Energy Management & Sales (GEM) IT team you will provide real-time operational support for SCADA / GMS systems. Every day you will report to the Information Technology (IT) Director to ensure that the critical SCADA / GMS system used by System Control Center operators, Realtime Desk are reliable. The position will also provide technical support for maintenance such as system upgrades.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in IT and OT environments.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in application support and development with some IT project Management experience
  • Expert understanding of the NERC CIP requirements and prior program implementation experience

  • Deep knowledge of SCADA protocols such as DNP 3.0 over TCP/IP, PI historians, and IT security related applications
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and commonly used programming technologies such as C, C#, Java, Visual Basic, .net and SQL
  • Experienced working on commissioning Generation Plants (Wind/ Solar/ Battery)
  • Familiarity with different energy markets (ERCOT, PJM, ISO-NE, SPP, CAISO, MISO)

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
