ENGIE in Peru launches a new Harmony Project of the #ENGIEHarmonyProject program through an advertising video that communicates the Group's efforts to provide access to renewable energy to families far from the electricity distribution network

In Peru, more than 3 million people still do not have electricity.

ENGIE, working as a team with the Ministry of Energy and Mines and authorities of the San Martin Region, installed solar panels in 68 communities in this remote area in the northeast of the country: jungle, 1000 meters high and 3 hours walking from the main road.

#ENGIEHarmonyProject is an external program that seeks to expose emblematic collaborative projects of the Group that graph their purpose of Contributing to a more harmonius progress.

Nicky Van Lommel – CEO ENGIE Services Perú

"When we saw the #ENGIEHarmonyProject of Mexico we were inspired and set ourselves the goal of doing ours here in Peru. We thought it was a good idea to give continuity to the decentralized solar generation topic and promote one of the solutions we provide through ENGIE Services Peru. Also, it´s a small tribute to the #ImaginativeBuilders that make this possible."

Rik De Buyserie - Country Manager Perú y CEO ENGIE Energía Perú

"This is a great example of how joining forces and knowledge we have managed to improve the quality of life of many families in the San Martin Region. I want to deeply congratulate all the #ImaginativeBuilders who work hard to take these projects forward in a remote area."

Monica Delgado - Chief Human Resources, Communications and CSR Officer - ENGIE Latinoamérica

"I am very proud of this second #ENGIEHarmonyProject of our Business Unit. First it was Mexico and now Peru. I encourage everyone to continue proposing projects that communicate externally our purpose of contributing to a harmonious progress. The results are as important as the way we acchieve them."
