ENGIE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Intern to join our Supply & Energy Management credit team. The internship work term will be from May 2025 to August 2025, full-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.

 

As a Credit Intern, you will support the commercial credit team in the management of credit risk mitigation through various reporting and analytical duties and projects, including, but not limited to support of Financial Statement analysis, Retail Credit Approvals and Daily Margining Requirement reporting process. 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or any related field
  • You possess a 3.0 GPA or higher & be able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You are able to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams

 

 

 

Additional Details

This role requires attendance at a worksite on a weekly basis;

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

 

 

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $22.50 -$33.50 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As the Site Administration Intern, you will support all aspect of daily operations and logistics. You will also have routine contact with the Iowa University team, Campus services and various vendors. Additionally, you will process correspondences, purchase orders, invoices, power plant fuels information, and assist with required reporting.

  • Reviewing and processing financial processes including purchase orders and invoices
  • Identifying of potential delays or breaks in the workflow and process improvement
  • Assist with preparation and review of fuel related reports for solid fuel and natural gas purchases

 

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields and a GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Students can work up to 20 hours per week while enrolled in an active semester and up to 40 hours per week during breaks (spring, summer, and/or winter) 
  • Ability to work during the hours between 7:00am – 3:30pm

Compensation

What You Can Expect

As our Power Congestion Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in grid modeling, analysis, and visualization of renewable generators to support power price forecasting. You will research data using relevant databases and statistical tools, build dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and SQL queries on large datasets, and develop and maintain Excel tools utilizing VBA, macros, and advanced formulas. Additionally, you will create and manage ad-hoc tools using Python to analyze large datasets, contributing to data-driven insights and decision-making.

 

  • Gain exposure to analyzing congestion market outcomes by assessing macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and micro-fundamentals (transmission and generation outages, bids, facility limits)
  • Develop an understanding of grid modeling by identifying model gaps and recommending solutions
  • Learn to assess commercial impacts by participating in ISO meetings and market evaluations
  • Strengthen analytical skills by interpreting market data and congestion drivers
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and improve trade tools for market analysis
  • Enhance problem-solving abilities through hands-on experience with power market dynamics
  • Gain practical knowledge of transmission constraints and their influence on market outcomes

 

This internship position will sit in Houston, TX and is expected work  from May 27th 2025 – August 8th 2025, full-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, STEM, or a related field

  • You have exposure to wholesale electricity markets and an understanding of market dynamics
  • You have knowledge of statistical techniques and data analysis methods
  • You are proficient in Tableau, Python/R, and data management, including data wrangling, cleansing, and querying
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments with accuracy and efficiency
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective collaboration
  • You will gain experience in applying analytical tools to support power price forecasting and market analysis

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, working three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.

As the Project Developer Intern you will support the team for database management for ENGIE’s Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) business in the United States. You will work on managing several tasks to support land to support land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, pre-construction and other aspects of solar energy and storage project development to ultimately fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America. Additionally, you will engage with both internal and external subject matter experts to complete all land acquisition, environmental, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection, real estate and design activities.

  • Help support business operation workflow establishment and process improvement efforts
  • Use analytical knowledge and skills to create tools and trackers for efficient tracking mechanism for projects under development
  • Assist in standardization of reporting and data across all teams within project development 
  • Support RFP and diligence activities related to Origination and M&A opportunities
  • Prepare and Support the preparation and presentation for project/market reviews both at both the local and global level management committee
