What You Can Expect

As our Power Marketing Senior Analyst, you will lead efforts to develop long-term grid scenarios for the ERCOT ISO footprint and forecast key supply and demand components to support production cost modeling tools. In this role, you will establish a systematic and repeatable approach to analyze macroeconomic and energy market trends, forming well-grounded fundamental views. You will also be responsible for analyzing and identifying key price formation drivers based on macro fundamentals, including supply, demand, and renewable generation across various market outcomes. This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Head of GMA, North America.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree  in Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience  in the wholesale electricity markets, specifically within ERCOT or a related ISO environment.
  • You have two (2) years of experience with Dayzer power grid simulation and analysis software or equivalent
  • You are a clear and effective communicator with strong analytical skills, and you’re comfortable engaging in thoughtful dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • You have a deep understanding of power market fundamentals, macro drivers, and downstream natural gas markets
  • You are knowledgeable in market price formation, scenario-based forecasting, and long-term grid and supply-demand modeling up to a 10-year horizon
  • You are proficient in SQL and Python, and have experience applying statistical techniques to analyze macro-trends and market behavior
  • You collaborate effectively with internal teams including IT, congestion, and other ENGIE business units to align modeling outputs and commercial insights
  • You participate actively in ISO meetings, assess commercial impacts, and build models to track market fundamentals and benchmark against actual ISO/Hub outcomes

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy consisting of a minimum three (3) days in office and two (2) remote

Compensation

Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As our Market Risk Analyst I, you will play a key role in preparing and communicating ENGIE Energy Marketing N.A.’s (EEMNA) commodity position, monitoring market risk metrics, enforcing risk mandates, and modeling complex structured deals. You will support the review, verification, and explanation of official daily risk metrics such as Value at Risk (VaR), drawdowns, stress tests, Greek limits, and other key indicators. In this role, you will help identify risk exposures, contribute to the development and monitoring of risk mitigation strategies, and lead modeling efforts related to structured deal valuation and risk qualification within the ETRM system. You will also provide critical support for market risk management services across ENGIE North America.

 

This position is preferably will sit in New York, NY, with Houston, TX as an alternative location. The role reports to the Market Risk Manager, Risk and Finance.

 

 

  • Provide market risk services to ENGIE North America (ENA) Renewable and Supply business specified in SLA’s and other service agreements (position and limit monitoring)
  • Work closely with traders on hedging/trading strategies, risk monitoring, and risk reporting

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Science, Econometric applied to finance, or we will accept three (3) years of relevant working experience where you gained hands-on skills in the commodity energy industry or in the investment banking industry
  • This is an entry-level position, and prior experience is not required, you will be expected to deliver high-quality support on projects related to IT development for market risk and structured deal modeling.   • You are an active contributor to the New Product Agreement (NPA) process, supporting risk assessment for new commodities, products, markets, instruments, and structured deals

  • You are knowledgeable in market risk metrics, valuation of structured transactions (e.g., PPAs and BESS revenue swaps), and renewable energy risk reporting across business units
  • You work closely with commercial and renewable teams to update forecast production volumes and enhance deal modeling and valuation in ETRM systems

Role Purpose 

As the Lead Storage Optimisation, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our short-term energy storage automated trading operations. Your primary purpose will be to create, develop, improve and maintain automated trading strategies for our BESS and hydro portfolio. 

 

You will collaborate closely with traders, quants, developers and analysts to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions, thereby directly contributing to the success of our trading strategies. 

 

Last, but not least, you will own the vision of the optimiser. So you will be responsible for driving the optimiser product to the level expected by the traders, which means you will have to collaborate with IS teams (local and central) to implement the UK requirements. 

 

Main activities 

  • Work closely with traders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. In particular: 
  • Creating new optimisation strategies. 
  • Improve existing strategies. 
  • Analyse results of the strategies and to propose solutions to improve them 
  • Deploy the strategies in the cloud (AWS is a plus). 
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration. 
  • Coordinate with IS teams to: 
  • Explain the UK optimiser vision 
  • Prioritize the needs of the UK storage optimisation team 
  • Follow the progress of the developments

The Role

The Role
Our Origination team are responsible for securing high value structured power, renewable, carbon and environmental transactions; promoting risk management solutions and market access services to wholesale clients and counterparts. Our team works in close collaboration with the Trading and Supply teams
You’ll provide critical analysis and reporting to aid in the origination and structuring of new business opportunities within the Australian electricity market

  • analyse market data and financial metrics, creating reports, dashboards, and tools to support decision-making for Originators
  • build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, provide accurate and timely data analysis for structuring deals
  • contribute in pre-transaction due diligence and provide documentation support for transaction approval.
  • conduct in-depth market research on supply-demand dynamics, pricing, competitors’ behaviour and regulatory changes to inform origination strategy in coordination with the analytical team


About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as an Energy Market analyst, Strategic Analyst, Trading analyst or similar commercial role within the wholesale Australian Electricity sector
  • Demonstrable experience in energy market analysis and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Exposure to market driven negotiations (power trading, long term/complex agreement)
  • Commercial acumen within the thermal, hybrid, renewable or storage sector experience of C&I markets
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present a number-led story to varied audiences including cross-functional teams and leadership

Pour nos 600 clients, l’énergie est un facteur essentiel de performance opérationnelle, et nous les accompagnons dans la gestion active de leur fourniture d’énergie. Nous sommes aussi pleinement investis dans leur parcours vers une énergie plus verte, en fournissant des gaz verts, de l'électricité verte et des certificats verts.

L'équipe digital de BP Clients supervise les outils numériques utilisés par les différents membres de la BP :

  • Maintenance et amélioration de l’ « Energy Portal » utilisé par nos clients, les structureurs, les commerciaux et le back office.
  • Dashboard pour nos utilisateurs
  • Conduite de projets data et d'automatisation
  • Amélioration de l'expérience digital des clients et des utilisateurs internes

Role:

 

En tant que Chef de Projet Data & Digital, vous allez :

  • Participer à la mise en œuvre roadmap digitale
  • Conduire l’implémentation de solutions d’amélioration de nos outils
  • Assurer le support auprès des utilisateurs internes des outils (support de niveau 1 aux commerciaux, structureurs et back office)
  • Participer à l’effort de documentation de nos outils et processus
  • Construire de nouveaux outils pour accompagner les activités de nos utilisateurs internes ou de nos clients
  • Créer et aider à la création de tableaux de bord pour surveiller et piloter l'activité
  • Participer à la mise en œuvre de solutions innovantes (IA générative, machine learning, etc.)

Your Role:

  • Develop and manage PPA solutions for ENGIE’s renewable energy projects in Poland, both operational and under development.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination of PPA projects within ENGIE and in collaboration with clients.

Your Profile:

  • Energy Market Knowledge – Strong understanding of energy pricing, regulatory frameworks, power generation dynamics, and renewable energy sources.
  • Contract Negotiation Skills – Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing long- and short-term PPA contracts.
  • Project Management – Proven track record in overseeing PPA transactions from initiation to execution, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Legal Knowledge – Familiarity with PPA legal frameworks, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Analytical Skills – Ability to analyze market conditions and energy consumption trends.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure the accurate management of flexible trades, update our Pricing & Billing system, and provide essential support to the wider business.

 

Your expertise will help our customers manage their flexible trade positions effectively.

 

This is a Hybrid role assigned to our Leeds office where the successful candidate would be based two days a week.  On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and update data in relevant systems for invoicing Electricity & Gas flexible import customers.
  • Regularly update and circulate information on Gas and Electricity flexible trades to customers and the business.
  • Maintain and validate prices, standing data, and calculations for renewable export quotes and invoice validation.
  • Continuously review and improve processes, focusing on system automation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and resolve issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for projects and product development.
  • Adhere to and develop internal processes, policies, and risk frameworks.
  • Communicate and manage economic, market, and regulatory issues impacting pricing.
  • Provide KBI/KPI data to manage costs and charges effectively.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; expert in Microsoft Excel (VBA/SQL) is essential.
  • Modelling skills in Python are desirable.
  • Ability to devise and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
