What You Can Expect

This Environmental Development and Permitting Intern role is an opportunity to work with a Global Leader in Renewables Development. The Environmental Intern will work to support ENGIE’s Development Pipeline in North America and help to ensure that Projects are following best management practices (BMPs) to minimize environmental impacts and maximize biodiversity value of commercial-scale Renewables Projects.

In this role the Intern will support biodiversity studies, surveys, and micrositing efforts to minimize wildlife and wetland impacts, and support the Senior Advisor on compliance obligations, preparing development projects for construction-stage efforts, and support the pursuit of federal and state permits where necessary. The Intern will have the opportunity to coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Legal, Land Use, and Engineering obligations.

  • Complete assigned training and follow all ENGIE safety procedures (9 Life Saving Rules)
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, and site visits to wind and/or solar sites
  • Communicate using email, TEAMS meetings and phone calls
  • Review renewable environmental plans, surveys, and Best Management Practices (BMPs) documentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Masters-level coursework with an undergraduate degree focused on law, engineering, environmental science, or biology at an accredited college or university
  • Ability to think critically and act independently
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated and driven to complete tasks at hand
  • Ability to give presentations and training
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Preserve confidential information 

Additional Details

  • The internship work term will be from June 2, 2025 to August 22, 2025 and can work up to 40 hours per week

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $28.50 - $33.50 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Power Options Trader, you will manage portfolio optionality and customer requests while optimizing load and assets, including BESS, across ERCOT, PJM, and the Northeast markets. You will be responsible for managing and deploying options and non-linear power positions in North American markets, with a particular focus on ERCOT, PJM, and the Northeast. What You’ll Bring

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree  in Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience  in the wholesale electricity markets, specifically within ERCOT or a related ISO environment.
  • You have two (2) years of experience with Dayzer power grid simulation and analysis software or equivalent
  • You are a clear and effective communicator with strong analytical skills, and you’re comfortable engaging in thoughtful dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • You have a deep understanding of power market fundamentals, macro drivers, and downstream natural gas markets
  • You are knowledgeable in market price formation, scenario-based forecasting, and long-term grid and supply-demand modeling up to a 10-year horizon

We are looking for a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join the team and build the valuation and risk management systems that are required to manage exotic parameters of various power production and retail risk management systems.

 

As a Power Market Quantitative Senior Analyst in Houston, TX and you will report to the Head of Asset Backed Trading.

 

You will be responsible for valuing various energy assets, including batteries, wind, solar. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in quantitative methods, and a robust understanding of power market. In this role you will:

•       Participate in enhancing the existing pricing and managing framework.

•       Deliver ad hoc tactical solutions as well as develop new pricing models in the official pricing library

•       Play a key role for developing new risk management products linked to the operational characteristics of the generation and retail portfolios

•       Promote best coding practices that comply with general rules and standards.

•       Document and share knowledge across SEM on the different models used within SEM.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

•       A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed courses in Science, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent combined education and work experience

•       Familiarity with Northeast markets including PJM, NYISO and ISONE

What You Can Expect
As the Ecological Restoration / Vegetation Management Advisor you will ensure that ecological restoration and vegetation management strategies are developed, implemented and effectively maintained across all ENGIE Renewables sites responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Keep up to date with innovation and industry best practices and acting as subject matter expert in relation to ecological restoration, vegetation management, agrivoltaics (such as sheep grazing), pollinator habitat and other related activities
  • Ensure sites remain compliant with regulatory requirements, planning consents and land lease obligations along with any other such requirements. Including the tracking and closure of consent and licensing conditions
  • Conduct ecological restoration related fieldwork, including assessment of site conditions, noxious weed mapping, storm water pollution prevention planning, auditing of restoration works and restoration monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Work closing with teams across development, construction and operations and maintenance to develop ecologically minded site restoration strategies / specifications, including seed mixes, biodiversity enhancements, monitoring protocols, and vegetation maintenance plans for use during a project’s planning, construction, and operations phases
  • Draft technical memos and reports, along with other project support materials as needed
  • Identification and assessment of suitably qualified and experienced vegetation management contractors, drafting of scopes along with the tendering, letting and day to day management of contracts
  • Communicate effectively regarding the scope and schedule of restoration and vegetation management activities to be performed, onsite along with ongoing monitoring and maintenance required by site teams
  • Assessment and approval of weed abatement treatments for use on site including pesticides and herbicides

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in restoration ecology, natural resource management, environmental science, conservation biology, or ecology. With a minimum of seven (7) years post education experience in vegetation management and/or ecological restoration
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and interact professionally and respectfully with project managers, site managers, contractors, landowners, and regulatory bodies

 

Additional Details

  • This role will be based in the Houston, TX office
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically with United States and Canada 30% to visit sites, company meetings, events and training
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; ability to drive to site locations
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid passport
  • The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working in the office or in the field in various weather conditions and terrains and have a passion for the outdoors

Compensation
Salary Range: $99,000 – $160,000 USD annually

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree  in Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience  in the wholesale electricity markets, specifically within ERCOT or a related ISO environment.
  • You have two (2) years of experience with Dayzer power grid simulation and analysis software or equivalent
  • You are a clear and effective communicator with strong analytical skills, and you’re comfortable engaging in thoughtful dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • You have a deep understanding of power market fundamentals, macro drivers, and downstream natural gas markets
  • You are knowledgeable in market price formation, scenario-based forecasting, and long-term grid and supply-demand modeling up to a 10-year horizon
  • You are proficient in SQL and Python, and have experience applying statistical techniques to analyze macro-trends and market behavior

What You Can Expect

As our Market Risk Analyst I, you will play a key role in preparing and communicating ENGIE Energy Marketing N.A.’s (EEMNA) commodity position, monitoring market risk metrics, enforcing risk mandates, and modeling complex structured deals. You will support the review, verification, and explanation of official daily risk metrics such as Value at Risk (VaR), drawdowns, stress tests, Greek limits, and other key indicators. In this role, you will help identify risk exposures, contribute to the development and monitoring of risk mitigation strategies, and lead modeling efforts related to structured deal valuation and risk qualification within the ETRM system. You will also provide critical support for market risk management services across ENGIE North America.

 

This position is preferably will sit in New York, NY, with Houston, TX as an alternative location. The role reports to the Market Risk Manager, Risk and Finance.

 

 

  • Provide market risk services to ENGIE North America (ENA) Renewable and Supply business specified in SLA’s and other service agreements (position and limit monitoring)
  • Work closely with traders on hedging/trading strategies, risk monitoring, and risk reporting

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Science, Econometric applied to finance, or we will accept three (3) years of relevant working experience where you gained hands-on skills in the commodity energy industry or in the investment banking industry
  • This is an entry-level position, and prior experience is not required, you will be expected to deliver high-quality support on projects related to IT development for market risk and structured deal modeling. You will contribute by clearly communicating with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and helping coordinate tasks across teams, while building foundational knowledge in market risk management
  • You are an active contributor to the New Product Agreement (NPA) process, supporting risk assessment for new commodities, products, markets, instruments, and structured deals
  • You have exposure to supporting internal and external audits, regulatory reporting under EMIR, and preparing risk committee materials in collaboration with other risk functions
  • You are knowledgeable in market risk metrics, valuation of structured transactions (e.g., PPAs and BESS revenue swaps), and renewable energy risk reporting across business units
  • You work closely with commercial and renewable teams to update forecast production volumes and enhance deal modeling and valuation in ETRM systems
  • You are proficient in handling large datasets using tools such as SQL, VBA, Power BI, and Oracle to support data analysis and reporting
  • You have a strong foundation in financial markets, energy commodity trading, and applying statistics and probability theory to market risk modeling
