Responsibilities:

  • Responsible  for  managing  the  Company  Regional  office  and  for  ensuring  quality  for  the  Operation  & Maintenance (O&M) activities for all related Customer’s sites and associated Utilities plant or Facilities (UPF) and their related Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) machinery equipment and associated systems in compliance with the statutory authorities and applicable health-safety-environmental (HSE) requirements; 
  • Responsible as Regional office Company representative towards Customers for all related sites to monitor the quality of the O&M team services delivered, to achieve the O&M service levels and the UPF performances levels and ultimately to ensure the customer satisfaction, manage customer relationship, insure proper communication with regular reporting to Customers and Company headquarters /Regional office for all service activities performed. 
  • Manage the site teams upon customers’ initial site visit to ensure complete and accurate surveying of the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) machinery equipment and associated systems of the customers’ Utilities plant or Facilities (UPF), with proper collection of the customers’ site UPF technical, legal and financial information for the M&E machinery equipment and associated systems within service scope  
  • Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts for Regional office overall and all related sites; control actual O&M activities expenses compliance with the budgets and perform financial quarterly review, including but limited to O&M Profit & Loss (P&L).

  • Insure timely and quality for issuance – by all related sites - for Technical, legal, financial documentation and UPF monthly service reports (inclusive of SLA & KPI’s) for submission to the Customers sites and to the Company headquarters (HQ) - as well as the necessary reports to the relevant statutory authorities, 

  • Review for Regional office related Customers sites the quality of the services delivered, perform SLA-KLPI gap analysis and initiate, study the feasibility of specific project in order to propose productivity, technical improvements for the UPF on customer’s sites – in liaison with ENGIE services – related to the O&M, HSE processes, contingencies & emergency plans as well as UPF performances. 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10 - 12 years of experience in the area of Operation & Maintenance, exposed to Mechanical & Electrical systems, instrumentation, Air conditioning-ventilation, chilled water, thermal heater, compressed air production and distribution systems associated with supervision, control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems at diverse client/ site locations
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to learn new skills and adapt to dynamic and demanding situations
  • Possesses good leadership skills to lead team members

What You Can Expect

As our Senior Project Manager, at Georgetown University, you will support and manage Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) in buildings that reduce energy consumption and help Georgetown move towards a 40% reduction in energy use by 2031.The ECM Project Manager will be a part of the Georgetown Energy Partners (GEP) capital projects team based at Georgetown University’s campus. This team is responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $25M, over the span of 1-5 years.

 

Every day you will work with the University stakeholders, ENGIE colleagues, and ENGIE contractors, including engineers, architects, construction firms, and other contractors to develop and execute projects. You will also facilitate the review of mechanical designs – as well as the permits – that support the long-term energy reduction vision for the campus. You will report to the ECM Program Manager.

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering or a relevant degree (such as Electrical, Civil or Industrial Engineering)
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a project management role, where you have gained expertise in construction management, stakeholder management, permitting, design and / or building automation systems (BAS)
  • You have expertise in financial and contractual aspects of capital projects involving both internal and external organizations
  • You will be responsible for assignments within the ECM Program that will include scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout
  • You will utilize existing and develop new budgets and cost tracking devices. Provide input to long term financial planning.  Issue contracts, contract change orders and process invoices
  • You must monitor project progress in design and construction phases through regular contractor and stakeholder interaction both virtually and in person on work sites
  • You will manage the relationship with university stakeholders during the audit, development, and execution of capital projects
  • You will develop and maintain good relationships with the ENGIE subsidiaries and our partners
  • You will establish and maintain good working relationships with the University staff
  • You will liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing

Compensation

As our, Construction Manager Senior in Washington, DC, you will be a key member of the Capital Projects Team who is responsible for the development, design, and execution of multiple Utility System Capital Improvement and Efficiency projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or in a technical field from an ABET institution or equivalent in demonstrated experience

  • You know how to develop weekly reports on construction progress for Project Manager; inform the monthly management report
  • You know how to develop and oversee the Construction Risk Management Process
  • You have experience supporting the Project Manager with Technical/Commercial oversight including:

The Project Manager Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Manager Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Manager Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position will sit in San Jose or Oakland, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

What You Can Expect

Our intern located at the University of Iowa campus in Iowa city, IA will be learning how to safely sample and treat water. This group maintains water treatment and measures water quality for buildings that are utilizing water softening, reverse osmosis, deionization, distillation processes and swimming pool and spa water quality, as well as heating and cooling loops.

 

Everyday is different in this internship. A typical day will include independently learning and ultimately conducting water sampling using prescribed techniques, and some light maintenance. You may assist with retrieval and analysis of sampling results, developing and maintaining trending of readings to help identify maintenance needs or design flaws leading to poor quality water.  You may also assist with the execution of m inventory tracking, using a variety of computer programs, and will learn to perform analysis of key data indicating need for replacement or upgrade of equipment to ensure quality water is delivered.

 

Objectives:

  • Be able to independently identify leaks and malfunctions in water treatment systems and contact the Water Services Planner to develop a Corrective Work Order in the Computerized Maintenance System (CMMS)
  • Efficiently develop and maintain results and analyses of water quality for systems across campus, working at the direction of the Manager, Quality Water Services, to help uncover water quality issues and maintenance needs
  • Maintain equipment inventory databases, working at the direction of Manager, Quality Water Services and/or Water Services Planner. Inventory could be retained in spreadsheet, database, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), or ArcGIS, depending on dataset and usage

 

We are very flexible during the school year you can come in and train during any of our operating shifts, gaining hours and operational experience.  You will work rotating shifts on assigned weekends ( we operate three shifts).

What You Can Expect

As our Scheduling Advisor, you will be the primary scheduling expert / resource for project managers of major capital improvement projects for campus energy systems and new business development related to new partnerships with universities or commercial and industrial entities. These energy systems encompass the production and distribution of electricity, chilled water, heating hot water, and steam, along with the distribution of natural gas.

 

Everyday you will support our Major Capital Projects team by delivering accurate and comprehensive schedules, setting standards, and defining the processes used to monitor, update, and analyze schedules to enable successful development and execution.

 

  • For business development projects or acquisitions, this role will coordinate with the Major Projects team composed of contracts managers, project managers, engineering, and project management office.

 

  • For projects at existing partnerships, this role will liaise with the other members of the Capital Projects Team (contracts team, project management team, and engineering team) including, but not limited to, Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Iowa University in Iowa City, IA and Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

 

You will report to the Vice President of Major Capital Projects & IPOS.        

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technical discipline, construction management, or a related field
  • You have a minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project scheduling; 3 years of experience with Primavera P6
  • You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for project scheduling, assisting Program / Project Managers with analysis and critique of schedules provided by Contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers, and other contracted parties; include third party provided schedule information in the project schedules to develop integrated master project schedule, from conceptual design, through detailed design, procurement, construction, and start-up/commissioning project stages
  • You will advise Program / Project Managers to understand all project tasks, task durations, and predecessor/successor relationships; support in development of standard sub-schedules as appropriate for groups of activities, such as commissioning
  • You have experience developing comprehensive project schedules for utility and power generation projects, including key milestones, definition of critical path activities, key interfaces with Operations & Maintenance and interfaces with other projects, accounting for any Client restrictions.
  • You will develop and maintain project milestones template(s) for various project sizes to support business development and major capital project opportunities. Develop and maintain project status dashboards to alert teams to potential schedule deviations.
  • You will track historical key performance metrics of past projects and develop lessons learned repository; and drive improvements within the organization to build best in class schedule management function
  • You will standardize the schedule activities and milestones to align with our contracting strategy and utilize our existing and procure platforms to establish executive reports
  • You will review third party schedules for accuracy and gaps, and challenge third party assumptions, and support contracts team through claims process through analysis and review of schedules and activities
  • You will test contractor’s assumptions, or perform staffing density checks or staffing limitation checks to validate schedule durations and ensures resource-leveling supports the project strategy. Likewise, test assumptions / utilize project cost estimates to resource load project schedules
  • You will prepare and present project schedule reports to the VP of Major Capital Projects & IPOS and other senior management.
