Job Purpose:

Employee in this position will undertake responsibility in maintaining the physical assets of the property, any new construction / refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of brick, cement, stone, cladding panels, glass and plaster for buldings located at depot, Vidauct structures, internal roads, pavements, fences, barriers or other station structures under the direction of Snr.Civil Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests /work orders as assigned.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications.
  • Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
  • Inspect Depot & station building and other structures to determine functional system and detect malfunction and needed repair making notes and recommendation using inspection check sheet and job task.
  • Assist Engineer in preparing technical reports and site inspection reports.
  • Prepare and complete the "Planned Preventative Maintenance" for Station / Deport structures including housekeeping.
  • Set-up and calibrate all equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports.
  • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
  • Assist in monitoring & supervising all civil works being performed by outside contractors.
  • Responsible for 24 hours emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
  • Carry cell phones as required for on-call maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain all depot building system, infrastructures-Roads, pavement, sidewalks, viaduct, track drainage, fences, barriers and station structures as assigned.
  • Responsible for alerting the Snr. Civil Engineer of any unusual occurrence and / or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
  • Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable local codes, regulations, and requirements.
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all Dubai Tram Staffs, vendor, contractors, and fellow employees.   
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
  • A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, and follow-thru.
  • Knowledge of the standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials of masonry, plastering, carpentry, excavation and backfilling.

Leadership and administration

  • Lead SEA cluster in terms of ENGIE One Safety,  GBU H&S Coordination, Group Security & Group Environment.

Job Purpose:

To ensure the organization’s Integrated Management System is effectively implemented on all work sites by performing a variety of routine activities in coordinating the various components of the company’s Integrated Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and advise management and regular staff on all matters related to QHSE and the organizations Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Ensure the organizations IMS is properly implemented, functions effectively, and is always adhered on site as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Development, implementation and maintain site specific QHSE policies, procedures, work instructions, method statements, risk assessments, and guidelines as per the company IMS.
  • Conducts regular risk assessments, hazard observations, and audits of the organization’s client site facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with the organizations IMS.
  • Undertake regular QHSE related inductions, toolbox talks and issue specific trainings of all site staff.
  • Prepare inspection and audit reports of findings to Facility Management staff and recommends corrective actions to address actual and potential non-conformities.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports, maintains proper documentation to conform with record-keeping requirements of the organizations IMS.
  • Investigates all accidents/incidents related to injuries, environmental impact, and damage to assets at worksites to ascertain root causes and the need for corrective action; develops and implements measures and strategies to prevent their recurrence in order to meet the organizations key objectives.
  • Monitors compliance with applicable legal and other requirements to which the organization subscribes and monitor changes to such requirements and their impact on the organizations processes.
  • Coordinate and establish QHSE meetings for all sites assigned and ensure they function properly.
  • From time-to-time perform any other duties as assigned by the QHSE Supervisor / QHSE Manager.

To ensure the day-to-day HSE activities in the sites are carried out safely as per the expectations of the company standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine HSE inspections of workplaces to observe safe systems of work, safe use of equipment, hazardous substances, lifting equipment etc. and record observations in checklists provided.
  • Observe and monitor the proper use, maintenance, and storage of PPE.
  • Observe and monitor at-risk behaviours of persons at work which may cause harm.
  • Report deviations that may, pose a significant risk to the wellbeing of persons at work, cause harm to the environment, pose a threat to Engie Solutions operations and client assets.
  • Participate in conducting Toolbox Talks; Risk Assessments; and in-house trainings as and when required.
  • Assist in emergency response activities and provision of first aid at work.
  • Report Near-Miss incidents.
  • Maintain proper records of activities and assist in preparing QHSE Reports.
