What You Can Expect

As our Operational Data and Document Management Intern, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy of operational documents, analyzing data from our monitoring tools, and evaluating rooftop safety data. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to cultivate essential professional skills, especially in the realm of solar activites and asset management. The position requires a commitment of up to 40 hours per week. This internship program spans three (3) months, from May 2024 to August 2024.

 

 

  • Ensure all operational documents are accurately recorded in SharePoint
  • Track and manage requests to complete document folders
  • Analyze operational data from our current monitoring tools
  • Compare and contrast findings with data from our old monitoring tool to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
  • Review data gathered from ENGIE rooftop safety assessments
  • Identify potential safety risks and propose solutions to mitigate them

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are at least a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis with a focus in Information Systems or related field
  • You are proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and data analysis tools
  • You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Purpose of the job

 

ENGIE are recruiting for a Debt Recovery Team Manager to be based in Leeds.  The job holder will be responsible for the management of overdue debt through the disconnections process and internal and external legal process.  This is a hybrid role, working full time Monday to Friday.  On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise the Debt Recovery and Disconnections team including overseeing the warrant and legal process
  • Assisting and sometimes liaising with customers and their representatives in order to expedite the claim process and where possible recover the full outstanding or where appropriate achieve settlement of outstanding debt
  • Work alongside internal legal team on claims over £50k where necessary
  • Approve settlements and write-offs in a timely manner and authorise legal action, write offs and settlements within set delegations
  • Ensuring the Legal tracker and Debt Recovery tickets are maintained and that the team are working within the delegations of authority
  • Manage the full legal process with external solicitors
  • Act as main point of contact for external solicitors’ queries in respect of claims
  • Ensure expenditure related to the external legal process is controlled
  • Validation and sign off of Disconnection and External Legal Costs invoices including process serves and traces in line with DLAs

 

Experience and skills:

 

  • Working knowledge of gas and electricity industry processes across, SME and I&C.
  • Understanding of the customer lifecycle and interdependencies between Credit Control and interfacing departments.
  • Proven ability to organise and produce accurate work to tight deadlines.
  • Highly numerate and awareness of cost recovery.
  • Verbal reasoning skills
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Able to demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Proven record of excellent customer service.
  • Quality and breadth of experience of credit control.
  • Preferable previous team leader experience

 

Qualifications:

 

  • GCSE English Grade C (or equivalent).

As an intern in our Westminster, CO office, you will work as a supporting key member of the Project Management (PM) and Construction Management (CM) team within the Utility-Scale Renewable Development business.

About the role:

The role holder will be responsible for the end to end management of Retail Ops processes for I&C customers from Customer Setup and Registration, to Metering, Consumption and Settlement, and through to Billing, Credit Control and Customer Service. What You Can Expect

Our intern located at the University of Iowa campus in Iowa city will be learning how to safely treat drinking water at our Grade IV Water Treatment facility where we treat both surface and ground sourced water. The intern will learn to  perform clarification and lime softening methods and will  also utilize reverse osmosis and activated carbon treatment processes. The minimum certification required to independently operate the University of Iowa Water Plant is a Class II Water Operator Certification. The student employment program at the Water Plant will be aimed toward helping students achieve a Water Operator Certification.  As part of your training  you will learn how to properly test water, and to understand the results.  You will also learn the regulatory basis for water quality requirements, and effluent / by-product disposal requirements.

 

Every Day you will learn new tasks in our treatment process. You will take samples and learn to adjust chemicals (automated) based on  the chemical properties of the water. You will be monitoring SCADA screens and learning how the plant is supposed to operate. As well as troubleshooting equipment, while conducting walk-throughs of the plant checking on equipment and logging  testing results and findings from making your rounds.

 

We are very flexible during the school year you can come in and train during any of our operating shifts. to gain hours and operational experience.  You will work rotating shifts on assigned weekends ( we operate three shifts).

The Cash Application Analyst II facilitates cash postings, analysis, and remediation of cash applications for all cash receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application to customers’ account. In this role the Cash Applications Analyst acts as a liaison to the Collections team and reconciles daily cash postings and research discrepancies to ensure proper resolution.

What you’ll do:

  • Timely and accurately cash matching in ENGIE’s ERP system
  • Reconcile daily cash match posting to bank account and analyze and research all
  • unapplied cash receipts
  • Function as the liaison with the Collections team for the proper application of cash
  • receipts
  • Analyze cash receipts, ensuring the correct cash amounts remitted, are applied and
  • allocated accurately to customer accounts
  • Research all discrepancies between the cash receipt submission and customers’
  • outstanding balance to ensure timely resolution
  • Track and report on all in transit cash receipts
  • Provide daily status update to Manager
  • Make recommendations to Manager on process improvements that streamline the cash application activity
  • Participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional
  • teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives
  • Acts as a team member with all ENGIE staff
  • Comply with all ENGIE policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned

 

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Accounting or Business
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Billing or operations experience in multiple markets preferred
  • Mathematically inclined
  • Strong analytical ability with attention to detail, and goal oriented
  • Detail oriented with the ability to follow up, prioritize and manage multiple
  • responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy
