What You Can Expect

As the OT Cybersecurity Manager at ENGIE North America (ENA), based in Houston, Texas, you will lead a team of skilled OT cybersecurity professionals, driving efforts to ensure the cybersecurity resilience and regulatory compliance of ENGIE’s industrial operational sites—including power plants, solar farms, wind farms, and battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities.

 

You will lead a team dedicated to identifying vulnerabilities and assessing risks to uphold and continuously improve the security posture of industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments. The team’s efforts are guided by ENGIE Group’s OT Cybersecurity Framework, which is implemented across all ENA and Canadian sites. Through regular assessments and audits, the team ensures compliance and proactively identifies risks, leveraging industry best practices and standards such as NIST, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and ISO 27002.

 

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ENA, your duties will include:

  • Lead and manage OT cybersecurity projects, including the design, deployment, and maintenance of security systems, while ensuring compliance with regulations, internal ENGIE OT frameworks, and industry best practices
  • Oversee incident management processes—from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, and recovery—and develop incident response plans and playbooks for Global Business Units (GBUs)
  • Conduct risk assessments, deliver staff training on cybersecurity best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture and incident response capabilities
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including writing reports, presenting findings, and collaborating with other ENA departments
  • Lead and manage a team of OT cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the cybersecurity resilience of OT environments across multiple industrial sites
  • Ensure all OT systems comply with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards
  • Deploy measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls in OT environments
  • Analyze OT environments, including SCADA and DCS systems, to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Evaluate the design and structure of OT systems to identify potential security weaknesses
  • Collaborate with OEMs and security vendors to integrate advanced cybersecurity technologies into OT environments

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field; candidates with an Associate degree and eight (8) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, or a minimum High School Diploma / GED equivalent and ten (10) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, will also be considered
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in OT cybersecurity, with a strong background in secure network architecture, penetration testing, and incident response
  • Must possess one of the following certifications—or be willing to obtain one within the first 12 months of employment: Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Equivalent or higher-level certifications related to these will also be considered
  • Strong technical foundation and in-depth expertise in Operational Technology (OT) environments, including comprehensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and commonly used OT protocols and architectures
  • Strong understanding of OT environments, the Purdue Model, and OT technologies. Familiarity with current OEMs and security vendors on the market
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time to industrial sites, including occasional overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Compensation

Salary Range: $119,595 – $199,290 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Buyer

 

  • You analyze and optimize procurement needs as assigned by the Head of Purchasing.
  • You maintain continuous contact with internal business partners (the maintenance & project technicians and engineers)  to anticipate their procurement needs.
  • You are in charge of the procurement process:
    • Define the appropriate strategy together with your business partner.
    • Identify potential suppliers and organize consultations.
    • Conduct tenders, negotiate terms & conditions, and implement contracts.
    • Ensure proper setup of purchase orders and assist in discussions with suppliers in case of issues with delivery or execution of the works;
    • Apply Group’s rules, Health, Safety, Sustainable Development policies, and Ethics standards.
    • Document savings according to Group’s rules.
  • You participate in status and team meetings, support local supplier management activities, and facilitate issue resolution with Accounting and Business.

 

YOUR PROFILE as Buyer 

  • You have a Master degree in a field where you have developed your analytical, problem solving and communication skills. A professional experience of 2/3 years is a plus.
  • You speak Dutch and English. If your French is not fluent enough you are ready to invest yourself in becoming up to speed (courses are paid by ENGIE)
  • You understand that you can only develop a business partnership by being physically there where the power plants and your Business Partners are (port of Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges and Brussels area) and flexible to visit (occasionally) suppliers.
  • You like to deep-dive into the subject matter in order to obtain a good compromise or solution for ENGIE during negotiations and discussions.

Mission:

As a Senior Trading Accountant these will be the main objectives:

  • In accordance with the relevant accounting rules (IFRS & link with local GAAP), to ensure proper accounting, recording of transactions and reporting segregation within the Engie España legal entity.
  • To elaborate monthly reporting to ENGIE headquarters under specific tool (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation) and IFRS rules.
  • To prepare annual accounts and financial statements under local GAAP and to assist to external auditors.
  • To provide financial inquiries or other kind of information to public administrations.
  • To control and assure a right accounting for fixed assets, income tax, provisions, operating expenses, etc.
  • To supervise and manage team in charge (2 people) & report to the Accounting and Consolidation Manager.
  • To review accounting results of the portfolio, balance sheet analysis and Cash Flows together with ENGIE ESPAÑA controlling team.
  • To help provide timely, accurate, validated and relevant information and business reporting on MtM impacts.
  • To support in the accounting definition of monthly closing and forecast of the End of Year Results of all Energy Management operations together with GEMS Middle Office and Finance team.
  • To ensure that appropriate administrative procedures, indicators, limits, processes, and reporting are in place and respected into the GEMs activities.
     

Key skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • 5 years or more of experience in Finance roles. Strong knowledge in the accounting of trading operations (financial and physical derivatives) and the corresponding accounting standards applicable, mainly (but not limited to) IFRS 9, IFRS 13 (and the respective Local GAAP-PGC articles).
  • Good understanding of the Spanish Energy Markets, its players (OMIE, MIBGAS, REE, etc.) and Central Clearing Counterparties (OMICLEAR, BME Clearing) and work experience in energy management and trading sector are an asset. Knowledge of Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems (ideally Meteor and Orchestrade) system is a plus.
  • To have relevant professional experience in the energy industry and/or trading sector.
  • To have analytical and quantitative skills, combined with a hands-on approach.
  • To be eager to work in team, sharing information with different department and in high coordination with front and middle office.
  • Must have a good knowledge of office tools like Excel and have interest and good understanding of information systems used (e.g. SAP-FI, ETRM systems, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation).
  • To be well organized and pro-active and able to perform during specific reporting cycles with tight deadline.
  • To be assertive, inquisitive and stress resistant, you have also a high level of integrity.
  • To have project management skills are able to plan and coordinate with various teams.
  • To demonstrate a pragmatic and logical attitude combined with problem solving skills.
