What You Can Expect

As the OT Cybersecurity Manager at ENGIE North America (ENA), based in Houston, Texas, you will lead a team of skilled OT cybersecurity professionals, driving efforts to ensure the cybersecurity resilience and regulatory compliance of ENGIE’s industrial operational sites—including power plants, solar farms, wind farms, and battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities.

You will lead a team dedicated to identifying vulnerabilities and assessing risks to uphold and continuously improve the security posture of industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments. The team’s efforts are guided by ENGIE Group’s OT Cybersecurity Framework, which is implemented across all ENA and Canadian sites. Through regular assessments and audits, the team ensures compliance and proactively identifies risks, leveraging industry best practices and standards such as NIST, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and ISO 27002.

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ENA, your duties will include:

  • Lead and manage OT cybersecurity projects, including the design, deployment, and maintenance of security systems, while ensuring compliance with regulations, internal ENGIE OT frameworks, and industry best practices
  • Oversee incident management processes—from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, and recovery—and develop incident response plans and playbooks for Global Business Units (GBUs)
  • Conduct risk assessments, deliver staff training on cybersecurity best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture and incident response capabilities
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including writing reports, presenting findings, and collaborating with other ENA departments
  • Lead and manage a team of OT cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the cybersecurity resilience of OT environments across multiple industrial sites
  • Ensure all OT systems comply with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards
  • Deploy measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls in OT environments
  • Analyze OT environments, including SCADA and DCS systems, to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Evaluate the design and structure of OT systems to identify potential security weaknesses
  • Collaborate with OEMs and security vendors to integrate advanced cybersecurity technologies into OT environments

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field; candidates with an Associate degree and eight (8) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, or a minimum High School Diploma / GED equivalent and ten (10) years of relevant cybersecurity experience, will also be considered
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in OT cybersecurity, with a strong background in secure network architecture, penetration testing, and incident response
  • Must possess one of the following certifications—or be willing to obtain one within the first 12 months of employment: Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Equivalent or higher-level certifications related to these will also be considered
  • Strong technical foundation and in-depth expertise in Operational Technology (OT) environments, including comprehensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and commonly used OT protocols and architectures
  • Strong understanding of OT environments, the Purdue Model, and OT technologies. Familiarity with current OEMs and security vendors on the market
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
