Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing project plans and schedules, ensuring that all project activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with project objectives and timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in project planning, a solid understanding of project management principles, and a proven track record of successful project coordination and execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures, and project schedules using industry-standard planning software and tools, ensuring that all project activities are accurately documented and aligned with project objectives and deliverables.

2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define project goals, milestones, and resource requirements, and create detailed project plans that facilitate effective project execution and coordination.

3. Monitor project progress and performance, tracking key performance indicators and project milestones to identify any deviations, risks, or potential delays, and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies and corrective actions.

4. Conduct regular project reviews and assessments, addressing any plan changes, deviations, or modifications, and providing guidance and support to project teams to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with established plans and schedules.

5. Analyze project data and performance metrics, and prepare regular reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

6. Participate in the development and implementation of project planning methodologies and best practices, and contribute to the enhancement of planning processes and tools for improved project efficiency and performance.

7. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project plans are aligned with project requirements, stakeholder expectations, and industry standards, and that all project activities adhere to established timelines and budgets.

8. Provide training and guidance to project teams on project planning protocols, tools, and best practices, and ensure that all team members are equipped with the necessary resources and information for successful project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.

 

2. Proven work experience of at least 10 years in project planning, with a strong focus on developing and managing project plans in the [specific industry] sector.

3. Proficiency in project planning software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning platforms.

4. In-depth knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a solid understanding of project planning techniques and strategies.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and provide effective solutions for project planning challenges and optimizations.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.

7. Experience in the fields of "scheduling and planning" in well-known consulting companies / construction contracting.

8. Competence and skill in scheduling on Primavera programs (P3, P6) for project planning - the latest version, Informatics and graphic visual presentations of data (Infographics).

9. Candidate who is fluent in Arabic and English is preferred.

Job Purpose:

     The Data Center Electrical Facility Engineer will be the responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting. He is responsible for ensuring that all Electrical, ELV, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all Electrical related facility operations within a given data center. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, and building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the on-site management of DC, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & Site local legislation.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Generate job cards & incident management tickets for Data Center facility.
  • Work with DCO managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.
  • Establish documentation relevant to business & facility operations.
  • Manage routine maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
  • Drive & implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
  • Management of the DC, in the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
  • Review DC contract compliance & ensure all SLA’s are achieved.
  • Business interface with DC Management for day to day operational requirements.
  • Assist in recruiting efforts.
  • Manage DC to resolve of any infrastructure Electrical engineering issues.
  • Delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Maintain, operate all Electrical systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, building management system.
  • Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations
  • Create the Job cards in CAFM App as per Site requirements and follow up the Job cards until close by the Technician
  • Responding promptly and efficiently to emergencies calls.
  • Prepare and submit Monthly reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken
  • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Electrical systems, ELV system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
  • Maintain essential stock of spare parts.
  • Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
  • Familiarity with datacenter guidelines and standards especially Tier III design standards and ASME/ASHRAE/NFPA.
  • Ability to handle rotation Shifts on Monthly basis.

Skills Required:

 

  • Good knowledge of power systems (UPS', Control Panels, DB’s, Busway systems, Generators, Fire & Safety, ELV Systems)
  • Basic knowledge of cooling systems (HVACs, Chillers)
  • Working knowledge of UPS systems and associated switch gear and Distribution Panels
  • Working knowledge of standby generator systems and associated switch gear.
  • Skill in installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment’s and components.
  • Understand and performs the MV & HV switching as per business needs.
  • Hands on experience in maintenance shutdown activities of MV systems is a must.

What You Can Expect

As an intern in our Westminster, CO office, you will work as a supporting key member of the Delivery Project Management (PM) team within the Utility-Scale Renewable Development business.

Every day you will support the Delivery Project Management team  with activities for ENGIE’s project portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects, standardized processes, and documentation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create process maps and flowcharts from departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Gather information by planning, attending, and participating in departmental meetings to gather information to create maps and charts
  • Research process topics and review existing documents
  • Interview company representatives to gather details for process map and flowchart creation
  • Present created process maps and charts to inter-department leads for review
  • Manage computer files and software application outputs, and publish created output as directed 

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be at least a junior or senior working toward a graduate or undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, science, or similar technical or analytics-based program
  • Effective communication, presentation, and technical writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint

Compensation

Your mission  
As ‘Design Engineer Dismantling Activities’, you are responsible for the sound roll-out of all the projects, tasks and responsibilities entrusted to you (which could possibly require onsite interventions in Tihange or Doel sites). In close collaboration with your colleagues and your team leader, you contribute to the preparation of bids, the Engineering Studies and the projects in the field of Dismantling of Nuclear facilities.  

 

 

Your key responsibilities  

  • conducting technical studies for the dismantling of nuclear facilities;
  • writing technical specifications, follow-up of orders and commissioning of nuclear decommissioning processes;
  • writing offers;
  • verifying the technical work performed by your peers;
  • correctly applying the Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures;
  • providing regular feedback concerning ongoing activities to your hierarchy ;
  • actively engaging in knowledge sharing, identifying and promote synergies with other teams.
  • You will collaborate actively with your colleagues from Project Management and CC departments, and build a close relationship while working for the same goal, activily developing cross department projects for your clients.

Your mission 

As a MEP Design Engineer (with French) in our MEP team at Tractebel, you contribute to the development of large-scale projects, delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Our team focuses on designing and optimizing building infrastructure, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and technical excellence to support the transition to a cleaner and more resilient future.

Your key responsibilities

  • You issue/collaborate to the quality insurance plan related to your field of expertise.
  • You establish design principles for installations/equipment/structures.
  • You collaborate with the Owner and with other designers in developing the project design.
  • You guarantee proper dimensioning of the installations/equipment/structures.
  • You control and monitor the creation and progress of any graphic materials and any measurement overviews.
  • You issue Design Notes, Drafts, Models, Specifications, Technical Specifications and Briefs etc.
  • You provide bills of quantities and cost estimates for the works under consideration.
  • You control and validate the produced documents (analysis, brief) before delivery.
  • You comply with and enforce compliance with the Health/Safety guidelines set out in the Project Safety Plan.
  • You create graphic materials based on instructions of the Lead Engineer.
  • You structure files and organize computer-assisted design.
  • You take part in the dimensioning of simple installations/equipment based on standards, regulations, codes of practice and internal guidelines.
  • You develop your knowledge within your field of expertise and in design tools.
  • You take part in verifying implementation documents.

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in Electrical Design;
  • Involvement in all engineering and design aspects and phases of projects: design, engineering, modelling, tender, execution;
  • Good understanding of electrical installations: medium voltage / low voltage / very low voltage;
  • Good knowledge of low voltage systems: electrical cabinets / earthing / (emergency)lighting / security supply (UPS/generators) / lightning protection /  cabling, selectivity, voltage drop, etc
  • Good knowledge of very low voltage systems: data / fire detection / access control / CCTV / …

Your mission  

As Senior Structural Engineer in our Design Brussels Civil Works department of the Metier ‘Civil Engineering & Infra’, part of the Business Area Nuclear, you will contribute to our mission everyday by playing a crucial role in  a wide variety of civil construction activities. Those activities are ranging from newbuilt projects that often run over several years, short-term renovation projects as well as punctual assistance to the Operator. From a technical point of view, you will work with a broad range of disciplines. You will manage the interface between Client, Operator and the team.

 


Your key responsibilities  

  • You oversee the design and calculations of nuclear related structures and building subjected to internal and external hazards;
  • You perform structural analyses using FEM code;
  • You participate actively in the dynamic analysis of nuclear structures and components to various hazards: earthquake, gas explosion, tornado, plane crash accident;
  • You participate in the writing of technical specifications (design requirements) and the review of technical documents issued by the Contractor;
  • You participate in the preparation of offers or the invitation to tender;
  • Mentoring of Junior Calculation Engineers  and sharing your experience and expertise with the team 
  • You check calculation notes of less experienced engineers according to the QA policy of the company.

 

 

 

We would love to hear from people with 
 

  • A Civil Engineering degree with at least 20 years of experience in structural analysis and design;
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards (Eurocodes as well as American Standards such as ASCE, ACI, USNRC (SRP and RG), …);
  • The capability of predicting the response of structures under static and dynamic loading;
  • Experience in general purpose Finite Element and structural codes (such as ANSYS, SCIA, ..) for static loads or dynamic loads , in case of linear or non-linear analysis ;
  • A strong background in design of concrete structure against earthquake, explosion, tornado and plane crash accident is required;
  • Knowledge of nuclear domain and safety (this is a must);
  • Knowledge in concrete aging mechanisms is an asset;

Your mission 

As a Power Systems Consultant in our Energy Consultancy team at Tractebel, you contribute to the development of large-scale energy projects, delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Our team focuses on designing and optimizing energy infrastructure, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and technical excellence to support the transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

Your key responsibilities

  • Power systems modelling based on EUROSTAG/SmartFlow and/or PSS/E and/or Neplan software tools for steady-state analysis and transient stability analysis;
  • Performing steady-state and transient stability analysis under EUROSTAG/SmartFlow and/or PSS/E and/or Neplan software tools;
  • Analysis of most appropriate grid connection solutions and results interpretation on network operation and control regarding power system stability, voltage control, frequency regulation, short-circuit level and steady-state security assessment;
  • Consultancy activity for power system projects both within Romanian power system and for international power grids;
  • Performing activity in projects from the conceptual stage (tender/offer preparation ) to the final stage (presentation to the Client and approval).

We would love to hear from people with  

  • Engineering background: University “Politehnica” Bucharest – Faculty of Power Engineering or similar;
  • Relevant experience in power system consultancy;
  • Good knowledge of software tools dedicated to power systems analysis and simulations;
  • Good communication skills – both written and oral;
  • Writing consultancy reports;
  • Good knowledge and use of specific power system dedicated software tools such as: Eurostag/SmartFlow and/or PSS/E and/or Neplan and/or Digsilent;
  • Dynamic modelling skills for generating units/loads/FACTS/HVDC with dedicated software tools.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
  • English proficiency; Additional French communication ability is nice to have;
  • Ability to work efficiently in an international environment;
  • Problem solver, flexible.

  • You provide design and / or consultancy for electrical substations / installations for control, protection, measurement up to 400 kV, for local and international clients. Your drive is to achieve and exceed the client’s expectations;

Profile

  • Knowledge in electrical substations / networks shall be considered as a plus;
  • Knowledge of design and software tools dedicated to design of electrical installations is a plus;
  • English proficiency, good knowledge of a second language can be an advantage;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
  • Available for travelling, in Romania and abroad;
  • Driving license;

Jouw missie

 

Als Junior Projectleider Bodemonderzoek en Bodemsanering in onze afdeling Rehabilitation of Industrial Sites, speel je een cruciale rol in het aansturen van grootschalige projecten ondersteund door senior projectleiders bodemonderzoeken en -saneringen met internationale ervaring.
 

Je belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden 

 

  • Voorbereiden van offertes voor de uitvoering van bodemonderzoeken
  • Ondersteunen van bodemonderzoeken en boorcampagnes op locatie
  • Interpreteren van analyseresultaten
  • Volledige supervisie en voorbereiding van technische rapporten, inclusief verkennende en beschrijvende bodemonderzoeken
  • Toezicht houden op en coördineren van bodemsaneringen op locatie
  • Opstellen van technische specificaties
  • Controleren van de uitvoering van werkzaamheden
  • Algemene en technische ondersteuning bieden aan projectleiders
  • Op de hoogte blijven van nieuwe technieken en ontwikkelingen binnen het vakgebied

  • Masterdiploma in toegepaste wetenschappen (geologie, bio-ingenieur, biologie, scheikunde, milieutechniek, ...)
