Job Summary

The Deputy Manager - IT GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) role at ENGIE India is crucial in ensuring the organization's Digital & IT landscape is secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing IT GRC, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal controls. This is an individual contributor role based in Pune, India, with occasional onsite travel to support Digital & IT audits.

Main Objectives

The primary objective is to ensure the IT landscape is secure, compliant, and aligned with business goals. This involves:

 

  • Implementing comprehensive IT GRC strategies.
  • Implementing INCOME framework for D&IT function
  • Implement and Manage - Risk management processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Maintain Digital &IT internal control requirements
  • Lead the Digital & IT Internal Control and Compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Preparation and Management: Prepare processes, teams, and documents for internal and external audits. Track and remediate audit observations with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Risk Management: Manage and track all technology-related risks for timely closure. Oversee formal risk analysis and self-assessment programs for various systems and processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with privilege access management processes and relevant IT regulations and standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain strong documentation and communication skills. Ensure clear communication with stakeholders and effective conflict resolution.
  • Implementing Initiatives: Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution and monitor progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT GRC team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including management and department heads, to ensure IT GRC strategies are well-supported and integrated.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments: Oversee comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks.
  • Developing Mitigation Strategies: Implement controls and safeguards to reduce the likelihood and impact of risks.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establish effective monitoring mechanisms and regularly report on risk status to management.
  • Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with various departments to ensure effective implementation of risk management strategies.
  • Adhering to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant IT regulations and standards.
  • Implementing Best Practices: Promote the adoption of industry best practices within the organization.
  • Internal and External Audits: Conduct regular internal audits and manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Policy Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive IT GRC policies.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective implementation of GRC initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure stakeholders are informed about the progress and impact of GRC activities.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts that arise during the implementation of GRC initiatives.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of IT GRC controls and processes.
  • Managing External Audits: Ensure the organization is well-prepared for external audits and address any findings promptly.
  • Audit Preparation: lead the preparation for audits to ensure a smooth process.
  • Addressing Audit Findings: Develop and implement action plans to resolve audit findings and prevent recurrence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use audit insights to drive continuous improvement in GRC practices.
  • Regular Reporting: Provide regular reports on IT GRC activities to management and the board.
  • Clear Communication: Ensure GRC-related information is communicated clearly and consistently.
  • Training and Awareness: Promote awareness of GRC policies and practices within the organization through training sessions and resources.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding IT Systems: Strong understanding of IT systems, including Cloud services, IT-OT convergence, hardware, software, networks, and data management practices.
  • Security Principles: Deep understanding of security principles, including encryption and access control.
  • Risk Management Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 31000 and NIST RMF.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies and their impact on IT GRC practices.
  • Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CRISC are valuable.
  • Compliance Knowledge
  • Regulatory Requirements: Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as CEA guidelines, Internal Controls (ITGC), IT Act, Indian and global Energy sector compliance, GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong background in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • 5-8 years in IT GRC, preferably in the Energy sector.
  • Hands-On Experience: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Practical Application: Applying GRC principles in energy sector

What you will do:

  • You will contribute to market prospecting by providing consultancy on energy networks as well as on optimal access to them, in the context of identifying new renewable energy projects.
  • You will manage the documentation necessary to obtain access to electrical networks for new development projects, from project initiation to the completion of the execution phase (COD), and, if necessary, you will attend the meetings with state authorities.
  • You will organize, under the guidance of the Grid Access Manager, the meetings and documents necessary for the development of each project.
  • You will continuously monitor the impact of the evolving economic, political, regulatory and technological context on investments and projects of TSO (Transmission System Operator)/ DSO (Distribution System Operator).
  • You will collaborate with DSO, TSO, and stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle for connection/ access to the network: from the authorization and access stage to the construction completion stage.
  • You will manage the relationship with internal or external consultants on topics such as: solution analysis, planning and authorization of transformer stations, transformers, transfer stations, and aspects related to cable routes, technical evaluation, and preparation of the work register.
  • You will support the project team by analysing risks and defining the necessary preventive/ corrective actions for network access, in order to meet project deadlines.
  • You will obtain approvals from DSO and TSO for network access, in accordance with the company's strategy.
  • You will provide technical and commercial analyses regarding offers and contracts related to network connection works.
  • You will monitor the schedule and stages of the projects you manage.
  • You will support the procurement team during negotiations and tenders for network access services and works.
  • You will ensure periodic reporting/ presentations for monitoring and controlling activities related to access to electrical networks.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field: Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering;
  • Experience working with HV/MV power systems;
  • Good knowledge of regulatory framework;
  • Knowledge of project management methodology;
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and evaluation;
  • Thorough knowledge of technical standards and ANRE regulations;
  • Basic knowledge of the energy market;
  • Advanced skills in PVsyst, WASP, Windex/Atlas Wind Global, AutoCAD;
  • Category B driving license;

YOUR CHALLENGE

 

  • Provide technical support during the construction phase to enhance efficiency and reduce extra work and costs.
  • Support operations and maintenance of large-scale renewable projects (wind turbines) to maximize power generation and asset availability, while optimizing O&M costs.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers during the Final Engineering phase and Cluster Managers for O&M projects, offering electrical expertise.

What You Can Expect
As the Ecological Restoration / Vegetation Management Advisor you will ensure that ecological restoration and vegetation management strategies are developed, implemented and effectively maintained across all ENGIE Renewables sites responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Keep up to date with innovation and industry best practices and acting as subject matter expert in relation to ecological restoration, vegetation management, agrivoltaics (such as sheep grazing), pollinator habitat and other related activities
  • Ensure sites remain compliant with regulatory requirements, planning consents and land lease obligations along with any other such requirements. Including the tracking and closure of consent and licensing conditions
  • Conduct ecological restoration related fieldwork, including assessment of site conditions, noxious weed mapping, storm water pollution prevention planning, auditing of restoration works and restoration monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Work closing with teams across development, construction and operations and maintenance to develop ecologically minded site restoration strategies / specifications, including seed mixes, biodiversity enhancements, monitoring protocols, and vegetation maintenance plans for use during a project’s planning, construction, and operations phases
  • Draft technical memos and reports, along with other project support materials as needed
  • Identification and assessment of suitably qualified and experienced vegetation management contractors, drafting of scopes along with the tendering, letting and day to day management of contracts
  • Communicate effectively regarding the scope and schedule of restoration and vegetation management activities to be performed, onsite along with ongoing monitoring and maintenance required by site teams
  • Assessment and approval of weed abatement treatments for use on site including pesticides and herbicides

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in restoration ecology, natural resource management, environmental science, conservation biology, or ecology. With a minimum of seven (7) years post education experience in vegetation management and/or ecological restoration
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and interact professionally and respectfully with project managers, site managers, contractors, landowners, and regulatory bodies

 

Additional Details

  • This role will be based in the Houston, TX office
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically with United States and Canada 30% to visit sites, company meetings, events and training
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; ability to drive to site locations
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid passport
  • The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working in the office or in the field in various weather conditions and terrains and have a passion for the outdoors

Compensation
Salary Range: $99,000 – $160,000 USD annually 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.  
 
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.

 Tus principales responsabilidades serán: 

  • Dar soporte en los procedimientos y gestiones para la obtención de permisos ambientales.

  • Coordinar con los proveedores de servicios ambientales el desarrollo de sus actividades y requerimientos.
  • Coordina la gestión de SOLPED, HES, elaboración de cartas, control de redacción, seguimiento a proveedores y labores administrativas varias, en relación a aspectos ambientales.
  • Apoyo, seguimiento y control a procesos sancionadores OEFA y atención a los requerimientos. Seguimiento de las normas ambientales. Identificar las acciones de las nuevas normas.
  • Visitas, inspecciones, auditorías y coordinaciones de soporte a las actividades referidas a la recuperación de la operación con Shapiringo.

 

¿Qué necesitamos de ti? 

·         Indispensables: 

  • Formación profesional en Ingeniería ambiental, biología o afines.
  • Conocimiento en Permisología ambiental, TUPA’s y procedimientos administrativos para IGA’s, autorizaciones y licencias.
  • Conocimiento en Normatividad en gestión de residuos, manejo de calidad de aire emisiones y efluentes.
  • Experiencia de 2-3 años en posiciones similares iguales a la posición

 

·         Deseables: 

  • Especialización ambiental para los casos que no se cuente con formación en Ingeniería Ambiental.
  • Elaboración y/o evaluación de instrumentos de gestión ambiental.

 Tus principales responsabilidades serán: 

  • Validar y participar en la definición de alcance y estructura de desglose de trabajo.
  • Revisar las solicitudes de cambio de alcance al proyecto que pudieran generar los interesados y coordinar su aprobación con el personal líder del Proyecto.

 Tus principales responsabilidades serán: 

  • Ejecutar el Plan de Gestión Social y Relaciones Comunitarias de la empresa para las comunidades de la zona de influencia del proyecto.
  • Elaborar el mapa y caracterización social de stakeholders de la zona de influencia del proyecto a efectos de identificar y prevenir potenciales conflictos sociales.
  • Gestionar eficientemente la inversión social y el relacionamiento con las comunidades, líderes locales y actores clave identificados en la zona de influencia del proyecto.
  • Cumplir con las directrices, instructivos, políticas, procedimientos, reglamentos y toda normativa interna establecida por la empresa para el eficiente y eficaz desempeño de sus funciones.
  • Gestionar eficientemente los riesgos y/o conflictos sociales que surjan durante el desarrollo del proyecto (Análisis adecuado, valoración, mitigación o eliminación, seguimiento, evaluación, reportes mensuales y alertas tempranas).

 

¿Qué necesitamos de ti?

 Tus principales responsabilidades serán: 

  • Supervisar las actividades laborales del contratista y personal propio desde ámbito de SSO
  • Dictado de Inducciones SSO, despliegue de capacitaciones enbase al programa One Safety a contratistas y personal propio

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled Solar Asset Manager to oversee the performance and management of our solar energy portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, optimizing asset performance, and maximizing the financial returns of solar projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze the performance of solar assets to ensure optimal energy production and efficiency.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance asset performance and reliability.
  3. Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including O&M contractors and performance monitoring services.
  4. Conduct analysis and reporting on asset performance, including budget forecasting and variance analysis.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement technical improvements.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  7. Prepare regular reports for stakeholders on project performance, risks, and opportunities for monthly review meetings with the management.
  8. Assist in the acquisition and due diligence processes for new solar projects.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and market conditions.
  10. Should be well versed with DSM and other regulations.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree.
  • 6 to 8 years’ Experience with project management and O&M practices in the solar industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in project management and change management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong commitment to quality and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
