Jouw missie

 

Als Junior Projectleider Bodemonderzoek en Bodemsanering in onze afdeling Rehabilitation of Industrial Sites, speel je een cruciale rol in het aansturen van grootschalige projecten ondersteund door senior projectleiders bodemonderzoeken en -saneringen met internationale ervaring.
 

Je belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden 

 

  • Voorbereiden van offertes voor de uitvoering van bodemonderzoeken
  • Ondersteunen van bodemonderzoeken en boorcampagnes op locatie
  • Interpreteren van analyseresultaten
  • Volledige supervisie en voorbereiding van technische rapporten, inclusief verkennende en beschrijvende bodemonderzoeken
  • Toezicht houden op en coördineren van bodemsaneringen op locatie
  • Opstellen van technische specificaties
  • Controleren van de uitvoering van werkzaamheden
  • Algemene en technische ondersteuning bieden aan projectleiders
  • Op de hoogte blijven van nieuwe technieken en ontwikkelingen binnen het vakgebied

 

 

We horen graag van mensen met

 

  • Masterdiploma in toegepaste wetenschappen (geologie, bio-ingenieur, biologie, scheikunde, milieutechniek, ...)
  • Ervaring in het uitvoeren van bodemonderzoeken en begeleiden van bodemsaneringsoperaties op het terrein is noodzakelijk. Ondersteuning en begeleiding door een senior projectmanager met meer dan 25 jaar ervaring
  • Nederlands als moedertaal en goede tot vloeiende kennis van het Engels

Contexte:

 

Le Centre d'Expertise (EC) en Recherche Quantitative et Modélisation (QRM) au sein de GEMS est une équipe de 30 analystes quantitatifs. Sa mission est de fournir une expertise quantitative avancée à toutes les entités business (BP) de GEMS.
Au sein de ce centre, l'équipe quantitative "Gas & Oil" propose un stage visant à développer et à étudier un modèle paramétrique de type HJM pour la calibration des corrélations intra sur les marchés du gaz. Ce travail se basera sur une approche historique, tout en prenant en compte les effets de saisonnalité.

La seconde partie du stage portera sur la valorisation des contrats swing, en utilisant les corrélations calibrées. L’objectif sera d’ajuster la calibration de manière à obtenir des prix de swing qui se situent dans la fourchette bid-ask des quotes brokers disponibles.

 

Rôle:

 

  • Calibration historique du modèle HJM pour fitter les corrélations intra à partir des données historiques des prix des contrats à terme, avec une composante stationnaire en T-t et une composante saisonnière en T (si des effets de saisonnalité sont observés).
  • Valorisation des contrats swing en adoptant une méthode de réplication à l’aide de contrats fermes et optionnels ou via un algorithme de type Monte-Carlo Américain.
  • Ajustement de la calibration historique pour aligner les prix sur les fourchettes bis-ask des quotes des brokers.
  • Etude d’un modèle paramétrique unifié de type HJM qui permettre de représenter tous les paramètres exotiques non observables sur les marchés du gaz.

 

Compétences techniques:

 

  • Manipulation de données, analyse des séries temporelles, et maîtrise de techniques statistiques avancées (analyse en composantes principales, …).
  • Solides compétences en mathématiques appliquées et maîtrise du calcul stochastique.
  • Programmation orientée objet (C# ou Python).

What You Can Expect

Our intern located at the University of Iowa campus in Iowa city, IA will be learning how to safely sample and treat water. This group maintains water treatment and measures water quality for buildings that are utilizing water softening, reverse osmosis, deionization, distillation processes and swimming pool and spa water quality, as well as heating and cooling loops.

 

Everyday is different in this internship. A typical day will include independently learning and ultimately conducting water sampling using prescribed techniques, and some light maintenance. You may assist with retrieval and analysis of sampling results, developing and maintaining trending of readings to help identify maintenance needs or design flaws leading to poor quality water.  You may also assist with the execution of m inventory tracking, using a variety of computer programs, and will learn to perform analysis of key data indicating need for replacement or upgrade of equipment to ensure quality water is delivered.

 

Objectives:

  • Be able to independently identify leaks and malfunctions in water treatment systems and contact the Water Services Planner to develop a Corrective Work Order in the Computerized Maintenance System (CMMS)
  • Efficiently develop and maintain results and analyses of water quality for systems across campus, working at the direction of the Manager, Quality Water Services, to help uncover water quality issues and maintenance needs
  • Maintain equipment inventory databases, working at the direction of Manager, Quality Water Services and/or Water Services Planner. Inventory could be retained in spreadsheet, database, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), or ArcGIS, depending on dataset and usage

 

We are very flexible during the school year you can come in and train during any of our operating shifts, gaining hours and operational experience.  You will work rotating shifts on assigned weekends ( we operate three shifts).

As a Power Congestion Analyst II, you will report to the Director of Congestion Trading and provide quantitative and fundamental analytics for US electricity markets to improve grid modeling and congestion analysis. Every day, you will perform cost modeling by using DAYZER to forecast nodal electricity price components and analyze weather patterns and fuel prices to predict the base electricity prices.

 

  • Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and Pennsylvania New Jersey Maryland Interconnection (PJM) Independent System Operator (ISO) congestion analysis
  • Execute production cost models (Dayzer preferred) by systematically analyzing and updating the inputs as appropriate
  • Develop and execute appropriate scenario studies pertinent to the period of study and systematically analyzing the results
  • Develop systematic and repeatable approach to form fundamental views with respect to congestion trading
  • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and micro-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits).
  • Develop and test innovative trade ideas and strategies
  • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions
  • Assist with ad-hoc fundamental analyses
  • Participate in ISO meetings as appropriate and assess commercial impacts
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to maintain and improve trade tools
  • Develop and maintain dispatch and flow models, communicating fundamental developments and views to stakeholders
  • Build models to track market fundamentals and regularly benchmark against actualizations

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed courses in Engineering/Business/Finance or relevant disciplines
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in congestion markets analysis, power plant economics, price forecasting, trading, or a related discipline
  • Six (6) months of experience with production cost modeling, congestion analysis or wholesale electricity market experience in the relevant ISO
  • Experience in ERCOT or PJM ISO congestion market
  • Strong understanding of power grid optimization, powerflow shift factors, line-outage distribution factors and contingency analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • Proficient in coding such as Structured Query Language (SQL)/ Python
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing clients’ facilities and energy or utilities plant status, analyzing energy usage, exploring options for potential for energy efficiency improvements and to prepare energy audit reports and presentations as needed
  • Understand client requirements and collect energy data to analyze energy profiles and consumption
  • Carry out walkthrough and detailed energy audits, providing professional analysis for energy usage and system design-operations-maintenance
  • Conduct feasibility studies, energy simulations, conceptual and detailed designs, and front-end engineering designs of energy efficient utility systems.
  • Estimate project capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) and develop project timeline
  • Liaise with internal engineering teams, consultants and suppliers to establish, review, validate and issue project specifications (M&E equipment, systems, infrastructure, structural & civil works), CAPEX, OPEX, and performance guarantees; liaise with customers for presentation and validation
  • Coordinate with Malaysian Authorities, utilities and Government Agencies for project incentives applications, regular and special inspections, infrastructure and project authorizations, licensing issues, and general project implementation coordination
  • Evaluate and negotiate with contractors, vendors and suppliers to meet technical, financial, health-safety, quality and profitability specifications and requirements
  • Support the Project Management team with project kick-off, engineering, contractor coordination,  and defining project health & safety, quality, budget, planning, and performance control execution plans
  • Review contractors’ and vendors’ offers to ensure technical compliance
  • Supervise detailed design outsourced to reputable consultants, review P&IDs and validate control strategies, I/O points and sequences of operation
  • Participate in post project reviews to define the best practices, methods, tools and organization for future project improvement.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Electrical / Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience over 5 years in engineering design, CAPEX and OPEX estimation specifically for industrial utilities such as steam, thermal oil, chilled water, iced water and compressed air
  • Experience in process or energy improvement project management is advantageous
  • Experience with Energy Performance Contract, Built, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) or any other similar contract is advantageous
  • Experience in Operation & Maintenance for utilities and control systems is advantageous
  • Hands on experience in performing Detailed Energy Audit is advantageous
  • Ability to use computer software Excel, PowerPoint, Word; basic AutoCAD skills; Thermoflow; HAP
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to dynamic project environment

What You Can Expect
ENGIE North America is hiring a Solar Technician for our Solar Site located in West Union, IL.   

 

Your daily responsibilities begin with accessing tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or various SAP software systems and repairing, troubleshooting, and fulfilling technical repair work orders for solar panels. You will manage documentation, update parts inventory, and as well as submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and initiate work orders for equipment repairs. 

 

  • Coordination of high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), which includes tasks like substation operations, equipment lockouts and grounding
  • While you will primarily work independently on-site, there will always be a nearby technician for safety support; the site's team comprises of a site manager, a Balance of Plant technician, and the solar technician. You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 50 miles of the site
  • Adhere to safety protocols such as conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings


What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED or a diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/DC current, electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites, Thermal power plants
  • Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor


Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position consists of 20% work indoors and 80% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions

 

Compensation

What You Can Expect

As our High Voltage Electrician in Washington, DC at Georgetown University, you will be responsible for the safe, legal, reliable and cost-efficient operation and maintenance of the High Voltage Electrical System supplying power to all University (including Medical Center), and hospital buildings. Responsible for the electrical power from PEPCO’s six incoming connections at 13,800 volts to the main low voltage switchboard in each building including electrical metering and the quality of the power. And will report to the High Voltage Supervisor.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a High School Diploma or GED
  • You possess a DC Journeyman Electrician’s License
  • You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a journeyman electrician
  • You are confident in the usage of OHMS Law
  • You have worked in an environment where you use the DC Electrical Code, National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and the Electrical Equipment Maintenance Code
  • You have OSHA 10 Certification    
  • You can review single-line drawings to operate the high voltage system in support of PEPCO, contractors, and our preventive maintenance program
  • You are comfortable supporting contractors in the preventive maintenance of all system components, circuit breakers, cable, transformers, relays, meters, and switchboards
  • You know how to switch building power and 13 KV feeder distribution circuits in support of planned repairs and upgrading of equipment, and maintain station batteries
  • Monitor power usage, install, test, repair, and read electrical meters and other recording devices
  • You have experience Operating, maintaining, chiller switchgear, transformers, switches in the Heating/Cooling Plant and an entire campus
  • You are comfortable responding to unplanned emergency outages 24/7 affecting hospital, campus, and medical facility buildings on the High Voltage system
  • You can assist other departments needing our expertise
