Vous rejoindrez la Business Line Infrastructure de Tractebel. En tant que Package Lead, vous serez immédiatement impliqué dans un projet EPCM. Vos responsabilités incluront :

  • Une participation active à la planification globale du projet.
  • Une présence et implication dans les réunions techniques de construction.
  • Le contrôle budgétaire tout au long du projet.
  • La garantie de la qualité technique des travaux.
  • Une coordination efficace des différentes tâches du projet et gestion de leurs interfaces.
  • Une intégration dans les processus de négociation et d'approvisionnement avec les sous-traitants.
  • Le suivi des directives définies pour les activités de fondations.
  • L’utilisation d'indicateurs de performance clés (KPI) tels que le chemin critique et la gestion de la valeur acquise (EVM).

 

Vous organiserez et dirigerez :

  • Les réunions de projet et de chantier.
  • La supervision des activités quotidiennes sur site pour maintenir la qualité du travail.
  • L’assurance de la sécurité sur le site.

En cas de problèmes ou de risques, vous serez chargé(e) de :

  • Alerter le chef de projet et les autres parties prenantes.
  • Prendre en charge le suivi des problèmes et des risques.

Profil

  • Master d’ingénieur civil, industriel, en construction ou équivalent ;
  • Minimum 10 ans d'expérience dans des projets EPCM/PCM dans la partie géotechnique ;
  • Solides connaissances géotechniques en fondations ;
  • Expérience sur des projets de centres de données ou d'infrastructures similaires de grande envergure ;
  • Connaissance de Primavera
  • Maîtrise de la gestion d'équipe ;
  • Esprit logique, curieux, critique et organisé ;
  • Excellentes compétences en anglais et en français ;

Mission 

You will join the The Business Line Infrastructure of Tractebel.

As Project Director, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of Project Management Consultancy services of new build Large Infrastructures such as Data Center or other large multi-technics projects.

The role of the Project Director consists in the global project management on behalf of the Client of the project execution, including the organization of the staff, the elaboration of project procedures and processes, as per Tractebel and Client standards/tools, the Procurement of Packages to Specialized Contractors (SPCs), the Project Controls, the Commercial and Contract Management, the Construction Management, the QAQC, the Commissioning and Hand-over.

More specifically the Project Director has the following tasks and responsibilities :

 

  • Manage the PMC project team (approx. 40 persons), organize their works, meet them in groups or individually to ensure performance and well-being of the staff;
  • Organize presence of staff on site, back-ups, rotation during holiday period, or week-end/night works;
  • Manage the contact and interactions with the Client, and external stakeholders, formally (official meeting, correspondence) and informally (building relationships and interpersonal trust);
  • Report any major difficulties, concerns, risk to Tractebel Project Director / Project Sponsor, with anticipation;
  • Prepare the Project Execution Plan and others project supporting documents;  
  • Deliver the PMC services at the client satisfaction, together with the PMC team and the different project Key-persons, including but not limited to :
    • Project Controls : build-up the tools and monitor the schedule and cost progress as per Client’s requirement, including critical assessment of SPCs reporting and identification of any deviation/risk anticipatively;
    • Contract and Commercial Management : manage the different SPCs contract, manage the Change (requested by Client or by SPCs), keep records of changes, manage up-to-date financial reporting (earned value, invoiced amounts, etc.);
    • Risk Management ;
    • Construction Management : coordinate the works of the contractors on site, ensure optimized sequence of works, provide Work authorizations,
    • QAQC Management : including Factory Acceptance Test, quality control on site and hand-over to commissioning;
    • HSE Management : including design safety compliance (conformity and records of all law, regulation, standards to be complied with, at SPC level or at project level), Safety on site including Safety supervision and processes, compliance with Social Laws, etc.
  • Ensure good communication in the project: with the client, team members, vendors/partners, external stakeholders;
  • Monitor and ensure the satisfaction of the client and the Tractebel performance on the project (externally and internally);

Profile 

  • Master in Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 20 years of professional seniority;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a Project Manager position on large Infrastructure Construction projects, preferably on multi-contractors project;
  • Experience on Data Center projects or similar large Infrastructure ;
  • Knowledge in procurement, construction, contract management, and multidisciplinary project are strong assets;
  • You think outside the box and dare to challenge the status quo;
  • Good people management skills; 
  • Good customer handling and communication skills;
  • Experience in an international environment is a strong asset;
  • Excellent English and French language skills;

The Project Management, Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Management, Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Management, Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets

As the Remote Operations Control Center “ROCC” Operator, you will be responsible for 24 x 7 remote operations and monitoring of a rapidly growing standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across the US for current Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) markets. This is an engaged role that will carry out planned maintenance remotely and alert the field operations to implement maintenance of issues needing attention that have flagged overnight.

 

Every day this role carries three major components of responsibility the ROCC will be responsible for:

 

  • Safety, where you carry out check in / check out procedure of field staff for all operating assets, and interact with SCADA to engage/disengage equipment (site breakers, ESS units, etc), and monitor SCADA and internal automated alerting tools for severe alarms / warnings and engage emergency protocols
  • Grid-facing, monitor voltage profile of transmission level BESS assets and interact with transmission and grid operators, coordinate outage scheduling and input to Transmission Distribution Service Provider and Independent Systems Operators “TDSP/ISO” interfaces, coordinate test request submission and approval with grid operators, and coordinate real-time asset testing during commissioning of upcoming facilities
  • Remote Asset Operations - Coordinate unit restoration with Field Service personnel, carry out planned maintenance activities (state of charge calibration, voltage balancing, and testing) remotely via equipment SCADA platforms, and perform first line troubleshooting of unplanned reactive maintenance

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum high school diploma, or two (2) year diploma/certificate in a technical program (Electrical or Instrumentation controls), other degrees/certificates may be considered
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in remote operations and control in either ROCC or Field equivalent experience in the power industry, or equivalent experience in control room operations in the power/energy/oil & gas, or military equivalent experience in procedure adherence, control rooms operations and monitoring the ships/submarines/or aircraft control room/operations
  • Experience with HSE protocols
  • Experience with SCADA interfaces

  • This role is office based, requires physical presence in Houston, TX and will have a work schedule that is night and day shift rotation

What You Can Expect

The Project Management, Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Management, Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, you assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. You will liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Management, Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. You will work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, you actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. You will ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Sacramento, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets
  • Strong negotiation skills that protect ENGIE’s interests on a given project, while building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapport
  • Ability to prepare and write accurate customer reports and RFX responses, with attention to customer goals and needs
  • Capability to create and execute project development and delivery schedules
  • Excellent adherence to schedule, and collaborative problem-solving skills to maintain budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction
  • High standards of accuracy, appearance, and thoroughness of project documentation
  • Ability to review engineering work across all typical energy project scope types
  • Knowledge of contract scopes of work, and alignment with subcontractor scopes of work
  • Ability to review and improve energy analysis performed by others for all project sizes
  • Understands Project Engineer job responsibilities in project development
  • Knowledge of durations and requirements of energy measure development and delivery
  • Prepare and understand proformas
  • Superior understanding of general construction methods and can work with the construction manager to implement the project

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As a Project Development Advisor, you will support a broad range of pre-construction development activities related to projects within ENGIE’s portfolio of utility-scale solar assets across the United States. You will work on all aspects of early to late-stage project development, such as local, state, and federal permitting including community and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) outreach and public hearings, environmental site assessment, and project financing due diligence support. You will work closely with land and greenfield teams, interconnection experts, as well as pre-construction, engineering and project delivery departments, and other aspects of wind, solar and storage project development to ultimately fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America.

 

  • Manage and actively drive development activities of utility-scale solar, wind and storage projects from feasibility to the start of construction
  • Manage all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)
  • Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation
  • Research new industry developments, tax incentives, technologies, etc.
  • Manage permit application preparation and attend public permitting hearings
  • Manage agency and AHJ submittals and interactions on local, state, and federal level
  • Develop project model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investment criteria and off-take origination efforts
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events
  • Maintain database tracking project progress
  • Support energy offtake, financing, and project Merger & Acquisition (M&A) discussions and document preparation
  • Prepare investment presentation materials for ENGIE investment committees
  • Review project pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Represent ENGIE at industry advocacy groups and national renewable energy events as attendee, speaker, panelist, and renewable energy leader

 

 

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration or Economics
  • A minimum 7 years related experience in renewable energy development or other fields of project development with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
  • Understanding of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) in the Southwest, Mountain West US regions
  • Detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue required information
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks
  • Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with public officials and agencies

The Project Management Director is a supervisory position within the Operations Team reporting structure that will have multiple direct reports.
